I think with the arrival of the Gold Coast Suns in the AFL, it's fair to say the Gold Coast is AFL heartland.
The following pictures and crowd figures speak for themselves.

Meanwhile in the NRL, the
Gold Coast Titans have been found to be inflating their crowd numbers all season according to Stadiums Queensland.

Show the only section that was actually full for their game
... many sections with empty seats .. woeful turnout for the supposed biggest AFL game of the year on the coast
not even a sellout as was claimed it would be either ..
& not even an accurate crowd posted

Well it's plainly clear that the competition leaders Collingwood are the big drawcard. Only have to look back at the Collingwood and Swans game. When Collingwood are playing the crowd goes to watch them. How many thousands less is thier average home crowd?
