THOUSANDS of fans queued to enter the MCG this morning ahead of today’s Carlton-Collingwood blockbuster.

Queues snaked from the Melbourne Cricket Club members’ entrance, through Yarra Park towards the Hilton as they awaited the opening of turnstiles at 11am.

A crowd of more than 90,000 is tipped for the match which is due to start at 2.10pm.

The weather in Melbourne this morning was fine, barely a cloud, with a top temperature of 15C forecast today.

I wonder how much of an impact the loss of Shaw will be today. I just hope it is a good close game today with the Blues just getting up. Still that said, my brain says the Pies will be too good unfortunately.

I hate watching carlton games on channel 10 with all the carlton supporter commentators #-o everytime judd gets the ball its "ohh judd ohh look at judd. Judd is incredible" when in actual fact a lot of judds dissposals went to a collingwood player!

That's partly why Channel 10 has trouble in the ratings. What really worries me is that 10 have the grand final this year (it's their turn) and it could be a Carlton Collingwood GF!

I've no doubt the negative commentary of Swans games from Walls, Lane and co on Ten turns Sydney viewers off too. Good riddance from next season anyway. Hope Walls in particular doesn't get another tv gig.
