Galvanizing almost your entire supporter base to be involved in the pinnacle every year is incredibly impressive and makes for a wonderful spectacle.

Hold onto that silver though, it's all yours and you'll need it again very soon.

it is pretty close... neck to neck at the moment>>

with the AFL heading into Bye Weeks and NRL doing the same..
it could come down to the Finals to split the winner.

AFL G.F 28th Sep
NRL G.F 6th OCt

So in fact NRL has an extra round up its sleeve. approx 3.5mill to 4mill..

winner of what?

How about you answer this since none of your mates will (despite Terry's lies): where else in the world of TV or sport are totals for entire seasons of ratings added and compared for different sports or TV programs?

If the programs were identical in scheduling it may have some relevance. Where there are big differences the difference is basically scheduling only.

Eg: NFL rates more than NBA but NBA would probably win a cumulative comparison because there are many more games on TV. So how is a comparison even relevant?

Winner of Total Audience is what i was referring to cats steve.

I have come across articles over the years.. comparing Union v League In England as in Audiences and totals.
but figures were not really detailed.

I have also seen a few articles comparing NBA MLB and NFL Crowds and Tv ratings
per night and totals
but again the writer of the article pointed out, it doesn't mean nothing

as The NBA have 88 rounds
NFL have 16 rounds
MLB play 162 games each..

They can not compare on any level.... they are totally different...in many ways

(however AFL and NRL ) play 206 game approx each.
they play around the same time and finish same time
they have close to the same amount of FTA and Fox with disadvantages and advantages. for both codes.

They have many similarities to any sport out there you compare to..

A Total figure is worth something.. but it doesn't mean it is worth everything.

Total games shouldnt be the defining figure though, it should be number of games shown and available to watch nationally on FTA and fox. This is because the two codes have entirely different scheduling. Especially given the fact the difference at the end of the year is in the range of only 10%. Are we really going to say which code is more popular on TV based on such a small difference when the scheduling is SO different? Is this small difference due to scheduling or popularity?

Seems farcicle, especially when the AFL consistently rate as the highest rating game week after week yet dont win the total

In 2018 there were 366,000 viewers in Melbourne for State of Origin ranking it 1st.

In 2019 viewers dropped dramatically to 273,000 and ranking 5th for programs on the night.

Where did the RL loving fans in Melbourne go?

Tremendous ratings again!!!!!!!! The fumblers are laughably celebrating the 'novelty wearing off'. This for a program that currently sits at No 1 for the year by a massive margin. Thanks for your contribution fumblers. Dills.

YAY I got the figure pretty much spot on>> predicted 3.2.-3.4mill

So 3.207 is spot on...

Slightly down on last years 1st game>>

With Perth coming up (If NSW do win this) which i think they will.

the Decider Game 3 will beat them all..
