Bullshit Fred ya dill! No sport anywhere can be the No 1 in their area unless they have a majority of followers who are in your words, "lower socio economic". This applies equally to fumbling as it does to RL. By far the biggest number of fumble followers are 'lower socio economic'. Or in reality middle/lower class.Fred wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 1:09 pmYes, AFL is indeed a much better package overall for advertisers. I think the broad church of followers from across socio economic categories also helps. Whereas in NSW and QLD RL was more associated with lower socio economic and RU more the late set as they say (North sydney). whereas for the other states it is just AFL for the main with soccer in there but not really competing and if you followed soccer you'd also follow AFL. I do think AFL has stepped into the RU areas and replacing it in Sydney with that demographic keeping with the historical divide of codes in that city and hence the struggle in western sydney - but for the rest of the country (apart from QLD) such divides re: codes don't exist as it is only AFL as the main code.

This is by virtue of the fact that demographic make up the bulk of the population. You cannot be No 1 sport unless you have that following locked in. In Sydney most RU supporter's also have a RL team. It is only a minority of RU folk who despise RL. And that is coming from a small and ever diminishing supporter base.
In fact RA boss Hamish McLennan said recently his first love was the Roosters RL team before he got involved in RU. And even now he and his family never miss a Roosters game.
Once again Fwed you show yourself to be the dill you are.
Something for everyone.

This forum is full of idiots like you and I feel no obligation to post here at all. I mean never mind that the AFL practice games were mostly played mid week during the fucking day.
