not when including regionals Fox and Streaming and BVOD
NRL have snagged a few wins according to Wookie
Metro markets for the networks are in the main, what they and advertisers consider and ultimately pay the big dollars for broadcast rights and broadcast sponsorship packages.
agree, some years back i had a full rundown of dollars per metro and regional (cannot get it now, it was through THINK TV )
It went something like this besides dollar amount. (cannot remember totals) from around 2015

4th regional NSW
5th regional QLD

The diff between regional and metro though is more than just “how many eyes” - regional is very spread out and diluted

that actually proves above there that it has nothing to do with where the veiwers are , just how many there are & the populations of those markets above runs in complete correlation with that list

this fumbler myth about metro is utter BS

Oh yeah, expect the next broadcast right to see some serious interest and $$$ coming from the regional affiliates like Prime, WIN or Southern Cross.

Ever noticed the quality of advertising when in a regional area lol. The local butcher or fruit market advertising must pay some serious coin for those kind of ads. lol

Well that’s why media buyers focus on metro figures. That is where the money is. It’s a concentrated market with great reach. Regional areas are spread across a wide area. 40 seconds on prime Albury is worth a lot less than 30 seconds on prime metro. There’s a reason for that. When media buyers sell blocks of time they throw in the regional as steak knives to the big companies/buyers.

100%

OzTAM metros are what the networks look to along with media buyers looking to sell advertising. Everyone knows that.
