And is it better to have a shorter programme that rates higher or a longer programme with lower ratings. Also, for stv is not the content length a big part of what you are buying ?
Foxtel are more into what content will bring in the Payable customers (length and viewers are all into the mix ofc)

FOX and Seven are saying (while there is a lift in ratings. this is the reason why..

This most likely want be the case next season.

Lock downs, shorter games and alot of prime time games like we have seen.

How much shorter is the game though? Whilst quarters are reduced to 16 minutes, breaks have been increased. This includes 1/4 3/4 and half time as well as extra time after a goal.
the games are ranging between 20-25mins shorter at the very least.
How do you figure that when each quarter is only 4 minutes shorter in playing actual playing time. I know there is time on to take into consideration but there is also the extended breaks and extended time after a goal. Any data?

Yes, I think the prime time games will obviously boost ratings. Plus many more games played in isolation naturally will boost ratings.

I’m simply asking how much shorter are they taking into account the longer breaks throughout the match.

So 4 minute shorter quarters of real time. Longer break and longer time after each goal. I’m missing something I guess if they are 30 minutes shorter on average. Maybe less time as 4 minutes is likely about 6 or so plus less goals ??

what the hell does prime time have to do with anything? It's a Monday night. Hardly a big night for going out.

Also, as has been shown, AFL fans also watch on Kayo in decent numbers, so that tally will be closer to 300k

average AFL match ratings are more than 50k above the NRLs this year. A figure that nots made up by streaming with recently released data suggesting that the AFL has more viewers on Kayo as well (average was 14k higher over the 5 released matches)
Counting 2matches as 1?

Based on what? 5 games

all games shown in Lockdown.

no. individual match ratings. try again. If I was citing Sevens broadcast reports it would be 200k higher. Not 50k.
Based on what? 5 games
Thats all the data there is. And it suggests 1) theres a higher peak for AFL viewers (145k to 121k) and more people watching on average (121k to 110k). Ive seen you draw a lot longer bows then this over the journey.
all games shown in Lockdown.
So? that accounts for some but not all. As it does for your own code.

Doesn't Fox have access to just 5 NRL streaming matches ? . And restrictions in NSW are nothing like Victoria's.
