Nationwide spread and appeal is something the so called National Rugby League can only ever dream of. & the 2006 AFL Grand Final ended up being beaten by the NRL Grand Finals

Secondly, no NRL grand final (even with the Storm involved and in prime time on a Sunday night) has ever rated better than a Saturday afternoon AFL grand final, even without the Swans to provide massive viewers numbers in NSW.

Oh and lastly, what no comment on the continuing drop in viewers for NRL Friday night football? Smashed again by the AFL on a Friday night. Guess there is not much you can really add in those circumstances eh.
