Yes folks its the boring and irrelevant NRL State of Origin time again. Am sure the television ratings will be 'huge' in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth for this one...NOT
Post it up when you can beaussie. I'm interested to see the results and going off my travels during the origin period I'd have to say you will be disappointed. Pubs and clubs all over Alice Springs, Townsville, and Darwin shamelessly and proudly advertised origin night as something to attend. It was def a sign of appreciation. And all in areas you seem to feel are 'AFL Heartland'...Beaussie wrote:TV ratings in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart/Tasmania will certainly be interesting tomorrow. Has Rugby League's State of Origin got nationwide appeal. NOT A CHANCE!!!
will they be as big as AFL in Sydney & BrisvegasGrim Reaper wrote:Yes folks its the boring and irrelevant NRL State of Origin time again. Am sure the television ratings will be 'huge' in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth for this one...NOT

Oh we have a choice. And we choose not to because we don't need it. If there's any envy about, it's NRL envy for our way superior attendance average. More than double.Raiderdave wrote:easy to say when you have no choiceTLPG wrote:We don't need it.

Much bigger AFL crowds and membership numbers in Sydney than the NRL clubs. Also the case in QLD for the AFL on the Gold Coast.Raiderdave wrote:but where has that got you in NSW & QLD ?TLPG wrote:Oh we have a choice. And we choose not to because we don't need it. hmmmmTLPG wrote:Oh boy - I'll repeat this again.
The NRL average attendance is BELOW that of all three AFL teams in NSW and QLD. Let alone the entire AFL comp.
That says clearly that the present comp is doing the job by itself. To say otherwise is ignoring the facts.
