Hottest 7's in the World

Post by crocodileman »

An international sevens tournament is taking place in Darwin this weekend, aptly called "The Hottest 7's in the World."

ARU bosses say that this tournament is an ideal warm up for the Australian's squad's assault on the next round of the world titles in New Zealand next month. Australia are currently seventh on the IRB Sevens Ladder with 6 points, trailing England on 32 points.

Unfortunately, the aussie squad looks a little short on talent and laced with players at the end of their careers - an example being former Australian A vice captain and Super 12 NSW representative Tim Clark and Matt Hodgson, a former under 21 World Cup rep.

Well, they'll all be struggling up here in the heat and humidity.

Why would the ARU want to play up there?

There is not enough money up there for us to steal
