A tipping competition has been established once again for the AFL in 2011.

As was the case last season, prizes will once again be offer for the Top 3 tippers.

See more details and the terms and conditions on the Footy Tipping homepage.

Good luck.

Hi Beaussie,

I understand your reasoning for the tipping comp rule stating participants must post 10 posts by the end of the season but I think the outcome is tokenistic. As far as I can tell people will and have simply exploited this rule by posting a token 10 posts that do not really contribute to the forum or your site at all, which i guess is why you established the rule.

I recommend you increase the number of posts required to win the prize quick smart. I think an average of 2 posts per week is necessary to build members participation and avoid giving away your own money to some chump who doesn't do jack all for the site.

So I would say 35 or 40 post minimum.

what do you think?

I hear ya KE, but the competitions are already open. Can't change the terms and conditions of entry now. Hopefully members will want to participate in forum discussions throughout the season. BTW, good luck with your tipping.

Can't believe two draws in two weeks. Better effort from the Tigers tonight. Shame they couldn't get the 4 points.

I have never been really interested in AFL until I joined this AFL tipping comp. Now I follow it very closely. Bringing more fans to the game is a good thing.

How many of you guys are tipping North to beat the Power? They are both hopeless this year. I've stuck my neck out and tipped the Power to redeem themselves after last week's surprise loss to the Suns.

I retract my question. Port are down by 40 odd points at 3/4 time. What a pathetic bunch of losers. They aren't even interested in playing football. I won't tip them again for the rest of the season.

 bad luck rosize. I had the same thought as yourself and went with the power. Think I'll do the same for the rest of the season

The Saints let me down as well. Pity Nick got knocked out.......and they couldn't kich enough goals. The result may have been a bit closer (maybe even different) if things were a wee bit different. Neither team has really hit much form this year.

The saints suck and nick reiwoldt has a glass jaw and the attitude and strength of an 11 year old girl. I'd love to see a little film compilation put together of all the times he's cried on tv  I reckon I've seen him cry about 7 times and I havent even watched that much aussie rules.

Imagine what the tool would be like to live with...? I'd hate to be around when he spilt the milk or stubbed his toe
