If there is enough interest in an A-League tipping comp, we certainly can have one - even with prizes if there is enough members. Express your interest here if you're keen.

A tipping competition for the A-League has been establised. For those participating in either or both the current AFL & NRL tipping comps, the A-League comp is a little different in that it is pick the score. One point awarded for the correct score and one bonus point for the match of the round correctly tipped. Hope that makes sense.

I must be upfront and admit I'm a little unsure about how the scoring system will work out. Does anyone have any other suggestions for how the scoring should work considering the tipping competition program is based around pick the winners and there are many draws throughout the A-League season? I'm thinking what we have outlined above is the best setup. Open to other suggestions though.

i'm interested. Scoring wise, how about 3 points for exact score, 2 for correct margin (but not exact) and one point for just selecting the winning team (score or margin not exact).

We will have a new tipping competition with new functions for tipping made available next season. We will test it out with Super Rugby before the AFL and NRL seasons then an A-League season. What you suggest rosize will be possible. Stay tuned.

Sounds good to me . I can wait. Pity Super Rugby is 4 months away.
