Surely this is the end of his career along with Daniel Chick. I still can't get over how stupid these guys are. Will the AFL finally act and get tough with its drugs policy?

Ahh, the Sex Pistols of the AFL have finally kicked Sid Viscious (Cousins) and the newly appointed Jonnie Rotten (Chick) out of the band. Not that I'm a fan of the WCE but I have been an avid reader of the life and crimes of the club and a team that can do so good on the field but also so bad off it, maybe Richmond need to get on the gear.....

Daniel Chick has not been sacked, only Ben Cousins has.

Not that Im an advocate for drugs or drug taking..
But, the WA Police really got it wrong. (As usual)
Charges were dropped cos the cops couldnt work out the differences between the gel/liquid form of diazapam and the tablet form, and he had a perscription for them.
My question is, why did Cousins have viagra in his car? The only possible explanation for it would be that he has been on diazapam for a while and that his sex drive has gone (as with most people on benzo's)
more questions that answers really..
All I can say is that I hope Ben gets all the treatment he requires to address his drug addiction..
*edited for spelling

Doesn't look like Chick will play for the Eagles again though.

Bring the rockn'roll swindlers to the swans, roosie'll sort em out, no chance of the drug influence in Sydney, especially being so close to Darlinghurst/Paddington

. All jokes aside though, they'd get dropped like a bag of the proverbial on the first stuff up and hey, you'd get a good deal on 'em!!

Hate to say this but Dale Lewis was a known drug user and he didn't get dropped, infact, he became one of the clubs champion players...just like another player I know..

What a complete balls up by the WA police. Ben's career remains in tatters though.

Fellow Swans supporters used to joke about Dale and drugs but it was never confirmed. Where has it been said he was a known drug user?
A few years back Dale alluded to drugs in footy and was shouted down by most in football circles. Seems he knew more about the situation than most would like to acknowledge.

He won't be able to sue the Eagles for a couple of reasons.
a> He has violated the terms of his contract with the Eagles, regardless of the Police charges being dropped. and
b> You can't sue for unfair dismissal these days. Workplace contracts are not worth the paper they are writte on. Johhny Howards IR laws would make it near impossible for him.
The Eagles set a list of guidelines for Ben to follow, he did not do that. And his efforts in LA have now justified their decision.
