I think Brisbane will be in the mix too. Probably the Bulldogs or Saints to drop out.

Good night Irene! With two games away in Perth to come, that was a must win Essendon. It would take a major miricle now.

After having a good look at matters with four rounds to go, here's what I think will happen.

1. Geelong will finish on top and will keep on winning - until round 22 (they'll lose to Brisbane at the Gabba)
2. Hawthorn will not win another game this season
3. Brisbane will not lose another game until the finals at least

In the wash up I think it will finish up something like this (including points)

Geelong (72)
West Coast (60)
Port Adelaide (56)
Collingwood (56)
Brisbane (54)
North Melbourne (52)
Sydney (52)
Western Bulldogs (50)

Then St.Kilda on 46, Hawthorn and Essendon on 44, and Fremantle and Adelaide on 40.

Which means Subiaco and the Gabba get finals in the first week with two in Melbourne.

hey about where the finals are being played dont you think it sucks that geelongs home ground advantage isnt being played at skilled because theres not enough seats! they have to play it at the G or telstra dome i think but i mean they finish top and what sort of advantage is that?

I hope you're wrong about the Lions not losing a game from here on as my team is coming up against them next week. 8-[

It's a real shame Skilled Stadium just does not have enough seats for finals. Why has it never been made much bigger? Am I right in thinking the ground also has no lights?

I wonder which team will use the term "mathematically possible" or "if results fall our way" first, in regards to their finals chances. My guess, Essendon. or Bulldogs.
