Looking foward to seeing this new ad. Hoping it's based on the 96 preliminary final against the Bombers at the SCG when Plugger kicked that famous behind to put the Swans into the GF. I love that fool Dave Lawson in the Toyota ads.

ONE of the most feared AFL full-forwards in history returned to footy yesterday.

Tony "Plugger" Lockett was at the Brunswick St Oval to shoot the latest instalment of Toyota's Legendary Moments TV commercials.

Like Wayne Harmes, Dermott Brereton, Alex Jesaulenko and others before him, Plugger helped Stephen Curry and Dave Lawson take a lighter look at one of the game's great moments.

Details of the commercial were under wraps. It could refer to Plugger's record 1300th goal at the SCG in 1999 or his after-the-siren point to beat Essendon in the 1996 preliminary final.

Not surprisingly, neither of the 1987 Brownlow medallist's co-stars were game enough to "drop into the hole" at the former Fitzroy home ground.

And Plugger's well-recorded shyness towards the media hadn't changed.

When the Herald Sun asked to speak to the former St Kilda and Sydney full-forward, the answer was pretty clear: "He's not speaking to anyone today," a crew member said.

But the greatest goal kicker in VFL/AFL history still looked like a force on the field, dwarfing others around him.

At least it is not some dimwit from the Adelaide Cows in the ad.

When that 'team' came out in 1991 Toyota sponsored them and all we ever heard was 'Here we go here we go CAMRY COWS' and 'Cow what a feeling'...how nauseating it was back then! But then what would one expect from them!
