Gee how pathetic is Port Adelaide when they have to resort to playing a Port Power song after every goal to motivate the crowd at AAMI Stadium. Is this the AFL or basketball?

Bullshit. I have been at a full AAMI Stadium for Crows-Swans matches and it is really pathetic. Most of the noise occured because we started chants and irritated the locals into actually chanting for "Ad-laide". Huge roars when the Crows kicked their goals, but complete silence again less than a minute later.

I was at the Port final in 2003. The Power fans whilst not great in number are far more vocal. They were even breaking into "Pow-ah!!" chants at 3/4 time. And this after putting an effort in the 2nd quarter that brought Huddo to make his now legendary call of "I see it, but I don't believe it!"

a definite highlight of matches in SA are the police escorts needed to leave the ground. After 2003's final we had to wait for 20 minutes until we were led outside the ground. The Port Outer Army were just outstanding in the way they treated us at their post-match bbq. But there WERE Port ferals waiting for us at the bar yelling out shit like "Sydney fans eat their own snot!"

We have had food chucked at us by Port fans in the West Lakes Mall as well which was pretty funny as well.

You coming to AAMI this season to watch the Ca Swannies tear Port apart Beaussie? I'll be watching my SANFL team North Adelaide earlier than afternoon as well, before bolting across to Footy Park.

I'd love to go over for the Port vs Sydney game, finances permitting.

Still JF, during the telecast the other night of Port vs St Kilda, the songs after goals were very noticable. Why would they play such songs if the crowd was already motivated? Reminds me of the old days at the SCG with "Show em Sydney".

Love those stories of your previous trips over there as a Swans supporter. Bloody Port ferals. "Sydney fans eat their own snot". :(/

Ferals Rule....if it was not for Ferals then there would be no Collingwood or Port and everyone will be going to the footy in Range ROvers and drinking Chardonnay like Ca Swanny supporters!

At least our club song isn't like something the Wiggles bashed up.

Fuck the Black & the White, it is 'Cheer Cheer the RED & the White" all the way.

And the Crows cannot talk about being jingoistic. They are the only club in the league to STILL have Cheer leaders  And their club song used to be "Here we go Camry Crows, here we go!"

Not sure what's worse, "Here we go Camry Crows" or "We'll never stop, stop, stop till we're top, top top".
