AFL commits to new Sydney team

The AFL in it's wisdom has not given up on a Sydney market and preperations are in place for a new and real AFL team to locate to Sydney.
After the failure of the Ca Swannies some new blood is to be injected into this failing Sydney market. Eddie McGuire has welcomed the news and talks are underway of making the SCG a car park with all AFL games to be played at UNSW oval.

If only the AFL would properly commit to a second Sydney team sooner rather than later.
My dream is to be at Telstra Stadium for the first local derby between Sydney and Western Sydney. Bring it on already.

Yes, but this new Western Sydney team would need to have a quality opposition team in Sydney to play for their local showdowns.....that's the problem!

We'll see Willis. Within the next 5 years is my tip. Mark my words on that. Certainly before a second NRL team in Victoria or teams in SA or WA.
