Sounds very sus. Like the police say, why would you run from a booze bus. Obviously he was blind drunk you'd think.

REIGNING Australian rules Brownlow medal winner Ben Cousins is being investigated after his Mercedes four-wheel drive was abandoned near a booze bus.

The West Coast Eagles skipper, with his lawyer, went to police headquarters in Perth yesterday to answer questions.

His car was found stationary and without keys shortly after midnight on Saturday in Perth.

Officers chased two men who fled the vehicle, catching one of them.

Police said Cousins went to police on Sunday, with the car keys and claimed the vehicle.

Police Assistant Commissioner John McRoberts said Cousins was the driver of the vehicle, but asked why someone would run from a booze bus.

No his car broke down...Also once I stopped at a mates place in Adelaide and the booze bus was parked one house up from hers on Marion Road. There was nothing sus about me stopping my car and going to mates place. It's just the PIGS were too stupid a to do a test on me at the time as I was smashed....lol

Turn it up Grim. The guy was obviously drunk and that's why he ran away from the booze bus. Appears the Eagles are going to dump him as captain now too. Wasn't he also suspected of having some knowledge about a mob hit in Perth last year?

Well if Cousins is in with the Mob then good on him....thats his business.....There is no evidence to say Cousins was drunk and it just the PIGGIES getting all worked up over nothing. Anyhow he shold remain the Captain of a team that should have won the 2005 flag!

I think people should leave Cousins alone and focus their anger at that wanker from Penrith who touches up young girls on drunken rampages.

Cousins certainly isn't a great role model. Definately not captain material if you ask me. Will be interesting watching the Eagles this season to see if any of these internal problems at the club affect their on-field performance.

The word out here is that booze wasn't the problem. Speculation is rife that he had to dispose of something else.
Gardiner's nickname with those who don't like him is "Sniffy".
All of that is speculation that other people have said.

Yeah. Any further news on what this something else may have been? Is this the latest in the news over in Perth?
