Melbourne cup would rate better at night too. Those who want to watch will watch at either time slot yet those who can take it or leave it will more likely be at home and thus watch it. They are the ones that add the extra ratings.

Melbourne Cup at night wouldn't feel right..
it could lose the appeal if played at night..
Way better during the day>>

what about those that can take it or leave it when there confronted with prime time show like tue block or the news
What about all those people who go to pub and clubs, those that make Gf night a party night - there not counted
Plenty ok people also have BBQ,s - they are counted.
More people work of a Saturday night rather than they do of Saturday Arvo.

I think it's prime time for a reason pussy ... more potential viewers and higher ratings. That's why the networks won't it. More people are home Sunday night. You don't think people go to pubs BBQ etc during the day ?

there are far more people home on Sunday night, so irrespective of the choice, there's more choosing each program
What about all those people who go to pub and clubs, those that make Gf night a party night - there not counted
how many go to the pub on Sunday night?
Plenty ok people also have BBQ,s - they are counted.
so NRL fans dont have get togethers for the GF at people's homes?
More people work of a Saturday night rather than they do of Saturday Arvo.

retail is open Saturday arvo, not Sunday evening. People are out and about Saturday afternoon, not Sunday evening. Theyre home choosing which station to watch.
Dedicated and casual AFL fans will watch the GF no matter when it's played. It's the level below that will only watch it if it's convenient, and Sunday night is far more convenient than Saturday arvo

& as is being ignore over & over
The level below has a far better choice of shows
You fumblers seem to think that every person sitting in front of the TV of a night who is channel surfing would automatically watch the fumble final .
Bullshit....there's other top rating shows on at that time .
Why do you ignore this fact

You dont know so its not "absolute" anything.
Lol your bias is showing
I argue one side
It's an assumption or I don't know
Yet the fumblers can state what they like ...no problem .
You don't know and it's an assumption of denial that your attempting to make
Everything rates better in the evening we see it for all sports & normal tv shows, yet your trying to convince others that wouldn't be the case for the AFL.
Bahahahahahaha
Given the AFL has never had a night grand final this is nothing more than an assumption without evidence.

Nope. I will tell you what it is. It's an hypothesis not an assumption.
More people at home watching does not mean all casual viewed would be watching AFL gf but some would. These are the extra viewers l.... those who are going to watch regardless will whenever it is on. There is a reason they put the best shows on at prime time against each other.

Until the AFL have a night grand final everything is an assumption
based on evidence from other shows that increased ratings when they went to prie time. Perfect example is the Australian open mens final which hit a record high once in prime time.

Test during night outrate tests during day. The highest rating tennis finals have been night games
He has lost his argument so now crapper is slowly attempting to shift the goal posts
How many test have there bean of a night?
Australia v Bangladesh of a night would not outrate the ashes regardless
of wether it was shown during the working week.
And we keep coming back to this same old argument that you Nevilles refuse to accept. A prime time add is worth more than a Saturday arvo add.

Given that everything else, live sport, tv shows & news programs all rate better in prime time than non prime time! Especially on a Sunday night where it has been the traditional prime time
To networks charge more advertising
It's easy to say the assumptions of an AFL gf will rate better being shown at that time
