1 Friday night footy match brings in over 500,000 for RL from regional areas, could you point out where and when any fumbleball team got that on Pay TV?
Merci!
Get your facts right. Its not one Friday night match. It is two friday night matches or one broadcast. Hows that for pulling in a leaguie in on his facts Parra? If the NRL had one friday night match it would be lucky to rate a total of 700K nationally.
I take it you have never looked at the regional TV ratings.
We'll I'll be, of course not, why would a vFL fan look at regional ratings?

Notice the word Nationally. Lucky to get 700K with only one friday night game. 400K metro and 300K regional.

If the nRL had won the ratings, Roy would have been all over it like Raiderdave is over posting pictures of kids crying on public forums.

Well it's not Soccer that's for sure.
I wrote something the same at LU.
The FFA has announced a $160 million television deal, running from July 1st, 2013 to June 30th, 2017.
But I read the raah and a few other places on the net where they were all saying the A League was going to crush the NRL's TV deal (well before they got over a Billion bucks that is

), so what happened?

I don't remember seeing anyone say that the soccer deal would beat the nRL deal?

Like the wink in there, xman is conceding victory to the NRL as he knows once the whole deal is done, it'll be RL #1, Vfl #2.
Ain't that right xman?

The AFL site is and always has been more popular than the nRL site. Go to Alexa.com to compare the two. As for radio, well seeing that multiple stations broadcast AFL matches (up to 4 different stations for the same game) whereas the nRL have no where near this amount, it is obvious that the AFL smashes them on radio as well. nRL radio and online rights < AFL online and radio rights.

In Australia only the AFL has the NRL covered even with the online rights. The question is can the NRL pull ahead with the NZ. Im suprised that it has taken this long with a new season about to start in 4 months that the online/NZ rights havent been sorted yet. I havent heard even a whisper. I wonder what that means?

NZ rights would be worth sweet F/A given their small population as well as their disinterest for league compared to real rugby.

They got 70 million for the last 5 years pretty much and resigned a one year extension for 14 million. The viewership has also increased by a lot. Why wouldnt it be worth 100 million now considering the huge increase in viewers?
