Lamo. As if our members didn't know the avg crowds of the nrl.
In other news you've been shown up once more on one of your statements. As of now I'm gunna be compiling them for your info and others amusement.
Cwappers all time WRONG statements
- If swelling occurs you gotta get stwaight to the hospital in the ambuwance, that's what all twainers will do if they see swelling!
- All new teams draw low crowds
I know there's thousands more so I ask for members to provide any they think deserve to be added.

Compare that to just about every Melbourne based sporting club and the crowds are horrible.

Explain what? 12k for the only RL club in a sports mad city like Melbourne is deplorable.
On the Suns and Giants crowds, they are SECOND teams in expansion markets. Of course they will have a small following for many years. Imagine the crowds of a second NRL team in Melbourne!

No as you said we should compare like with like. The suns and GWS avg woeful crowds for an AFL team. We all know sydneysiders just love watchin their NRL on the tele, that's just how it is

And the NRL need to change it. It's hurting them.

So with round 2 now complete my basketcase league is beginning to take shape.
Melbs 30 --- WC 123

Yikes. I watched some of this match and it was like watching George foreman in his prime versus George foreman at the end of his comeback aged in his 50s

Seriously, the two teams were not, and should not be in, the same league. The crowd looked like it was about 3k and itd be interesting to see how many bothered to watch the farce on tv in Victoria...
Aside from this match our other basketcase league favourites are starting to do what they do best, lose and lose comfortably!

With brissie, the bulldogs and suns all losing comfortably, and gws and stkilda, two absolutely shiiiiiiiiithouse sides, battling it out in a close game that was of lower standard than most or more likely all vfl games.
Notably the suns, seen by many of our AFL supporters as a team on the verge of finals footy, struggled to muster a meagre 39 points!
Yep its on again folks. The 2014 Basket Case League (BCL) is shaping up to be a ripper with melbs brassy gws suns bulldogs and stkilda all looking like definites to be locked in come end of round 4, the final date for BCL teams to claim their spot.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask me or BCL research and public relations officer, eelsofwest.
Bye for now.

Perhaps KE you ought to concern yourself with the constant blowouts in the NRL this season. Just this weekend, yet again we see teams failing to even register on the scoreboard.
Warriors 42 - Tigers 18
Knights 30 - Sharks 0

Wowee, have you guys seen some of the predictable non-events in the AFL this season? Heaps of em already. Seriously guys, what can the AFL do to address the lopsidedness?

Couldn't be more wrong actually
Giants upset the swans. Nth upset the swans. Sydney upset Adelaide. Adelaide thrash the saints. The saint upset the bombers. Port, your basket case only a few seasons ago are upsetting just about everyone. The suns continue to improve, as do the giants. Melbourne upset Carlton. Collingwood are up and down. The eagles are up and down. The roos are up and down.
This season is the most unpredictable in years

Well what are they going to do about the NRL after 7 rounds we have 4 sides on 2 wins (with only 16 sides in the league it makes this look much worse than the AFL!) and out of finals contention and the Sharks on one win with September holidays now booked (I'm not going to say paid for they may have to all pick up part timers the way their going!). So what will the NRL do, here's a suggestion
Raiders, Knights and Sharks to the Holden cup, Warriors to go back to playing RU in NZ (most of their players are RU players who couldn't get a Super Rugby gig!) and Cowboys to Qld Cup - problem solved!
