That is true. On the rare occasions that the Broncos don't play on Friday night, watch how low Brisbane's ratings get.

I take it you have never looked at the regional TV ratings.

We'll I'll be, of course not, why would a vFL fan look at regional ratings?

If both games rate high enough, both games will register, derp, the late night game is never going to get massive ratings, but it has made the cut off before.

heres examples of what 1 solitary game of NRL does in the ratings & would pretty much do every friday night if there was just ONE GAME
Thursday 1.289 Million
Friday ... 1.212 Million

we lose veiwers because of the current 2 games on a friday .... about 250K a week
watch us pick up an extra million veiwers in the first 4 weeks of 2013 .. by playing 1 game on a Thursday night & only 1 on a friday .. both screened at 7.30 in NSW & QLD

they get 300k from regionals and the same or more from payTV. Plus they almost always win the 5 city ratings.

And all this from 1 game that almost always involves 2 teams from 1 city compare to the nRLs 2 games featuring teams from 2 cities.
