I think i have come to the conclusion..

No matter how shocking of a game or 1 sided it is on Friday for the AFL.

it will always rate into Melbourne.

That’s a no brainer Leroy. There is no other real option as nrl support pretty much goes to niche support for storm.


Also.. be interesting as all AFL games in isolation this week. And more to come so will put Nrol theory to the test. There will be no excuses as it is same v same with nrl when all games in isolation.

Of course... If AFL win there will no doubt be some excuse lol

I stand corrected ... the north v bombers game started when suns v Melbourne was in three quarters time.

not a chance Nth v Ess rated 99k when shown in isolation in prime time, That'd rate 200k easy on FN

it was pretty much was in Isolation the 4th quarter had started.
how much more viewers would it have picked up if it was delayed by 20mins..

I think not too many but if it followed on the main AFL channel straight after a few would have watched. Anyway, is what it is.

the NRL is payTV king, the facts prove it. You only have to look at last FN where the AFL won the total audience by a massive 200k but was outrated on Fox by around 70k. However, it proves NOTHING about popularity of each sport, all it shows is NRL fans prefer foxtel and AFL fans prefer FTA.

Even more reason why cummulative ratings are BS. At least FTA is available to everyone, while payTV depends on subscriptions

Furthermore, you're comparing 4 hrs of NRL to 7.5hrs of AFL. Of course the NRL will average more.
