The AFL won the ratings again last night with the giants vs bulldogs, 2 of the AFL's least supported clubs. This is the sort of matchup that would rate far lower on a Saturday, but primarily because of the time slot and against a competing AFL match. I wonder what excuse pussycat will use this time?
NRL
Panthers v Storm 801,000
Nine Metro 347,000 Regional 220,000
Fox League 234,000
AFL
Dogs v Giants 982,000
Seven Metro 555,000 Regional 196,000
Fox Footy 231,000

but but what? Again there's proof that AFL rates as well or better than NRL on foxtel, despite less subs in AFL states, when games are shown 1 v 1.

thanks for making my point!
At 7,30pm people are watching 1 OR the other, they cant watch both. Therefore the audience for both 7.30 games are reduced by the opposing game. So it should be:
AFL 3 matches = 762k, Avg 254k
NRL 3 matches = 797k , AVG 265k

Melbourne have moved forward in releasing restrictions also. The latest change planned for last night didnt go forward because of a recent spike in cases. Classic NRL excuses
