Simple, because a winning team is popular, my team back in the early 90's right through till 1998 got 3 FTA games at the most in just under a decade while the likes of Canberra were on each week, swings and roundabouts XTard, swings and roundabouts

yeah, nice try. These teams get multiple times the FTA exposure of many NRL clubs. When they become successful sides again they will get Friday night games again.

This is unlike the NRL where the raiders made the finals but will be lucky to get more than a few FTa games in total let alone Friday night games.

wow, you really ARE that stupid. The entire discussion between myself and pussycat surrounds the fact that the AFL share their FTA coverage around irrespective of the teams popularity. It not all about ratings and their happy to take less money in their rights to promote all teams.

On the other hand the NRL bow down to ch9 and allow them to show the Broncos 22 games in a year with 16 on Friday night. So thats, what, 10 times the Raiders coverage?

Most AFL teams yes. In the NRL the Broncos get shown multiple times more than most other NRL teams.

The Broncos don't get seen by many in NSW though because they are usually the delayed game on Friday night and you would know this seeing as all the TV ratings are here, people switch off for the second game because it's full of ads and it's always the bloody Broncos playing.
