Port v Brissy:[/i][/b]Then the bumbling uncoordinated lads from brissie took on 2012 basketcaser port adelaide. One could easily predict it'd be a close one with the boys from
port playing some really shittty footy for the majority of 2013. But, the lousy lads from poprt managed to hang on in there in a closey and juuuuust pip the lowly larrikins from brissy. end score Port 71 - Brissy 62
If by majority you mean rounds 6-10, then yes you're right.

Beating brissy last week by 8 odd points is good in your books? Beating stkilda the week before that by 5 odd points? That good too? What about losing to essendon by 30 and the hawks by 50 after round 10? That's up there in your books?

settle down phelpsy. One cannot consider struggling to beat stkilda and Brissy while getting belted by essendon and the hawks as good form.
Okay?

Brisbane would have won also if it wasnt for those scumbag umpires. I think the free kick count was 21-7 to Port at three quarter time. It was really one sided & bad.

We were winning by almost 50 against the Saints. We had a bit of a collapse in the 2nd half but still managed to hold on to the win. Against Brisbane we had plenty of chances to put more goals on the board, but were inaccurate in tough conditions against the team that upset Geelong not that long ago. We once again managed to grind out the win even though it was ugly.

Umps were average both ways champ. See Brown's push in the back resulting in a goal and Butcher being blatantly held in the 4th near the end. If Port had kicked accurately there wouldn't be any talk of the umps. FYI if you want to see one sided umpiring, look at the North Melbourne v Port Adelaide game in rd 6. 38 - 15 was the free kick count.

Belted by Essendon? Are you trolling or just plain stupid? The margin was less than 3 goals right up until late in the 4th when the Dons kicked a few late goals.
Dementedave's bitch is making a run for the worst poster of the year award.

Hey KE - did you ever post what the answer was to the question that was the premise to this threat - I.e. what are the options to a lopsided comp?

Yes swines I and several other league fans thoughtfully put responses in in a courteous and responsible manner. I sent them down to AFL HQ. The AFL fans have provided nuttin.

So this week in the basketcase folks. Believers and non-believers I want you all making your predictions, putting your cards on the table with conviction or forever be the shameful blue moon conspiracy poster who tries to convince all and sundry that a basketcase team who has a good day and barely beats an AFL team that is having an off day is not a basketcase team at all. Shame on you ignorant bastards!
So first up its
GWS v Melbs! This should be a cracker, not something one should be paying to watch but a close match all the same.
My prediction.
Melbs by 4
And then its the
suns taking on the AFL side westcoast. This'll be a fizzer and over in the third quarter at the latest with fans having to sit through the inevitable demise of the suns for atleast 40odd minutes uggghh the thought of it is quite a turnoff.
My prediction.
Westcoast by 48+, 60+ if you want good odds on this one folks
And on sat eve we have another basketcase v basketcase in
brissie v stkilda. This'll be another unskilled yet close game. Not for real footy fans but perhaps something to take the toddlers and house pets to.
My prediction.
Brissie by 12
Sunday just after lunch we have the
swans v western bulldogs
Yikes folks. Why pay money to see such a massacre? Unless you're a saddist this game wont be entertaining. The swans will have it in the bag shortly after the first quarter leaving bulldogs and swans fans at the game to sit for well over an hour watching a non event.
My prediction.
Swans by 70+
And on a side note for those interested

port adelaide, last years basketcaser who advanced into the AFL this season, are playing a local derby against adelaide. While the port boys try hard each week they're really still quite shite. They'll be soundly beaten to the tune of 30odd points.
There we have it folks, please place your predictions or shut yer pieholes for this round... Balls on the table bitches

Adds st kilda in at end of season lol . Changes rules as to what constitutes a basket league club when teams beat other clubs ... Ke has no idea and just makes it up as he goes. Hopefully down in Canberra soon. Small town that Canberra. Public service even smaller.

Phelpsy what on earth are you on about?
1. Stkilda were added months ago
2. The rules as to what constitutes a basketcase team are the same as they always have been I.e a team who is uncompetitive and cannot compete with an AFL team unless the AFL team has an off day and the sun shines up the basketcase teams butt. The 2 wins by halfway thru the season was always referring to a bet I had with Xman you silly gimp. You weren't even a member then phelpsy me boy

3. I don't live in Canberra
4. I don't work for the public service

you simply couldn't get more things wrong in your post there phelpsy =D>
Keep it going mate! Hilarious! And enjoy ur visit to Canberra, I hear its cold this time o year so take ur mittens.

Thanks for your effort there stewie. Care to make any statements about the rest of the games? Or is it fence sittin for you, awaiting for one of my predictions to be untrue so you can yell "there, look you dont know what you're talking about"
Goes for you too phelpsy ya lame lil thing.
Or are you guys happy with my predictions and this submissive to the fact the basketcase league is alive and well?
