This. How are the Raiders supposed to grow their brand when they are only on FTA TV once a year? As the nRL is all about TV ratings and not the fans, this problem won't be going away anytime soon and the poor club will continue to make losses even with a minuscule budget.
we had 2 games on FTA in 2012 & posted a 3.4 Million dollar profit
Raiders rich with no exposure
powerfailure pennyless with plenty
Poort Powerfailure had .. 22... & posted a 6.3 Million dollar loss
gee
imagine if those the numb of games for the Raiders was 22
& it was 2 for Poort Poweroutage ?

Port didn't have 22 FTA games nationwide fuckstick. 22 into the local market, but not nation wide. If the nRL was smart and not all about maximising TV $, you too could have had 22 arse Raiders games into the local market, and may have actually posted a profit off your minuscule $10m budget

but but but
Raiders rich with even with no exposure
poweroutage .. pennyless even with plenty of exposure

yeah .... sorta like do VFL clubs want their crappy financial results displayed

Imagine the profits that AFL clubs would be posting if they all had a
tiny budget like the Raiders? To think the Raiders can't even make a fucking profit still...

61 Million my club turned over last year
double your tin pot club's
& we posted a profit ..... 4 times powerfailures
Poort can'tpaythe bills
struggling to survive
Raiders ..... posting multi million dollar profits & on easy street =D> =D> =D> =D>

they aren't the sports clubs profits! Theyre the business arms. The club loses hundreds of thousands despite nearly 50% funding from grants!

The football sector of the Raiders posted a $200k loss on a $10m budget. The football dept is obviously ignored by the Raiders, if their other businesses make so much money. Weird isn't it, a football club that doesn't care about the football club! They would prefer their pokies rooms to be fuller than their trophy cabinet (if they even have one).

the Canberra Raiders RLFC PTY LTD posted a 3.4 Million dollar profit
they have more cash then they know what to do with ... does my club have
hence them entering the property development business to make tens of millions more
meanwhile poort pennyless
can barely afford loo paper in its office toilets
I somehow think poort wheresmedough will struggle to see out this current TV deal
RIP Poweroutage

Why does the football dept have such a small budget? Why don't they care about them? Is it because they know the actual football team isn't worth the investment? I guess no one would want to pour money into a club that makes a $200k loss on a $10m tiny budget.

the Raiders have made the finals 8 times in the last 15 years
their football dept gets results , making the Football budget irrelevant because the company's overall bottom line is so very healthy .... if ever there was a decline in football revenue it can be easily covered ... no sponsor
no problem
no TV exposure
no problem
many other clubs in both codes cannot claim the same security
all their eggs in the one basket
like poor ol poort shitzhispants ..... their football dept is a dogs breakfast
spends too much
earns too little
no back ups
& this equals
gooonnnneeeeeeeeeeeeee....................................

Wow, the administration doesn't give a crap about the football dept. If they poured a few million more into it, maybe they would get some real success. But they have other interests instead. A football club that doesn't even put the football club first... only in the nRL.
