almost 50% of its tv audience is from outside Victoria
almost 50% of its attendance is from outside Victoria
more than 50% of its members are from outside Victoria
Youve got an 80,000+ capacity stadium in Sydney champ. Just no demand for it.
Stadiums in Adelaide (52,500) and Perth (61,266) hold more than the two combined NRL crowds last night. For that matter at under 35,000 so does the Gabba, and the SCG.
what a queer little poorly attended sport entirely reliant on a single tv survey to prove shit.
the smaller half of one country & thats it
deal with it wanker

the record for a Raiders opening game at home in Canberra is
22,257 V the Dragons in 1990 , the 1st ever game in Canberra & at Bruce & the Raiders won the comp the year before , their 1st.
tonight looks like its the biggest opening home crowd since then
considering Skyfire ( fire works on Lake Burley Griffen) is on in the city that will attract 150,000 people
this crowd is amazing
amazing
fumblers
your capital .. is an NRL town

What do people think of the crowd at the G tonight ? Out of town team I know playing the pies but thought it would be a slightly bit fuller - maybe 70000???

What’s the go at the G. Probably 30000 there up in the stands out if the rain but as I had said in an earlier post, even that amount can make it seem empty and lacking atmosphere. Probably should have had it at Dicklamds. I was going to correct the latter but thought na- hate docklands as a stadium - so left it.

18,362 at Parramatta
in an oven , 40C at kickoff at ground level
the eels are a basket case it seems in 2025 so their fans didn't show up , that game would normally sellout against the tiggies at Commbank in normal conditions , where you couldn't cook an egg on the seats
its not much better atm at Belmore , around 35C for the Dogs against the Titans
the crowd?
they had to close the gates 30 minutes ago

17,892 at Belmore
the Heritage game there , the only one they will play there in 2025. In stupidly hot conditions it was a particularly amazing crowd .... The Bulldogs have a very high proportion of Islamic fans , Its Ramadan atm ... so the fans there would had to have endured the oppressive conditions
without any type of drink til the suns goes down , & not having had any either during the day either from about 6.30 am .... but they adore their doggies
great dedication
Cultural diversity
something fumblers would know... nothing about

Such a shame Parramatta are playing like old moles atm , next weeks game against the Bulldogs at Commbank would be a 30K sellout on its ear almost any other time
But Parramatta are at a very low ebb
Now the dogs could fill Commbank with their owns fans no dramas , easily...
but about half the seats at the venue are held by full season Parramatta members & the last thing they would want to see is their team lapped by their fierce rivals & neighbours the Bulldogs...
even if the eels had an opt out arrangement & members could sell their seat back to the club for re sale ,
its voluntary
And most likely Parra members would rather the seat stay empty then a dogs fan have it.
I hope the Roosters have inspired fans of all clubs that ... nothing is impossible .. that hope springs eternal & if you have belief , then great things can happen.
Hopefully next week is another sellout between these 2 great rivals & a worthy game.
