Yep, a very odd way of counting.
Still don't like the idea, now we have three more years of it.

Well it was Australian Rules.
But I don't see the need for it, and spread over several grounds it is not the “magic” NRL model.
Not sure Adelaide has the population to get capacity crowds at every game.
But, to be fair, the croweaters seem to want more.

to me as more of NRL supporter, i did not see what all the fuss was about, NRL goes to regional venues all the time.
at least 10 games per season. all the gloating from GIL, has already been done by the NRL for years at venues.

Media really got on the bandwagon that is for sure,

overall i support the idea..
in what the AFL are doing,
its just not a big deal what they have done.

The AFL has also played games in regional areas for decades.

the same way the NRL called their magic round saturday a sell out. When no game exceeded 46,000 in a 52,500 seat venue. its an unfortunate side affect of selling package tickets to multiple games. Something the AFL will need to look at.

Well the NRL should not of called the Saturday Game a Sell Out.. as it was not.
I do recall it pissing down in Brisbane all day that day though..

poured rain at the 2022 magic round on the Fri & teemed down on the Saturday
the almost 47K announced on the sat ... WAS.. a sellout , members & people just decided to not get wet & watch on TV so there was a legit reason for the no shows
on the Fri , crowd was 40K but was not a sellout
sun was 44K . also not a sellout

the aflol's claim that crowds of 42 & 43K were sellouts , was utter garbage , there was no rain at all on the Thurs or Friday so no excuse for the empty seats , there was some rain on the sat , but it came late & wouldn't have effected the crowd
fudging figures starts at the top with this sport [-X [-X [-X [-( [-( [-( [-(

very vastly different

AFL have called all 9 games SELL Outs.

NRL called 1 night a sell out where it rained day before and pissed down all day in the Saturday
NRL fell short by 5k

AFL Had "sell outs" where Friday saturday & Sunday fell short by 8-10k each day

Not too bad a crowd here tonight at the Suns. Suns far out numbering the demons but plenty of them here too.
