Yeah i think the Sunday Night will rate just as good as the Monday Night.

Win, Win

i think that is close to perfect that schuelde.
I am still not sold on the 6pm Friday though. i am 50/50 2 NZ teams would help that cause)

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has told
@MCarayannis
that expansion is on the horizon.

Abdo declared that "By the end of 2024 we will know what it looks like for an 18th franchise and potentially beyond that. And going from 10 to 12 franchises in the women’s competition."

Good to hear. Needs to fix up the bye issue with uneven teams - but I think the NRL desperately needs to get into Perth - just need the cash to support it in the infancy. I would see Perth being similar to the Suns or Strom re: support there - a small to medium loyal base. I think they can't afford not to go to Perth to be honest.

Well said Fred. One of ya best pal, try to keep it up!

Perth should be a no brainer to make the game truly national. (Little Adelaide don't matter. They'll never have a team). There is a groundswell of support in the west with many Poms, South Africans and expatriates from the educated RL states now living there. Plus they have a nice rectangular stadium ready to go. I say bring back the Western Reds!!!!!!

The only expanding they are doing is putting new teams in their own backyards, lol.

Umm Skip 'ol son, the NRL has a team in New Zealand. The Australian Govt is going to fund another one out of PNG representing the whole Pacific region. That's kinda outta their own backyard pal. You know, like other countries. Meanwhile the Australian fumbling League 'expands' to tiny Tassy lolololololololol!!!!!

You might have to re-define 'own backyard' skip! You appear to be a dill pal. Time to hop off back to the bush. Away ya go!!!!!

MASSIVE NEWS IN RUGBY LEAGUE

PERTH BEARS AND PNG TO ENTER NRL COMP

Detailed plan to be revealed in JUNE

* Perth Bears 19th licence
* NRL sets up PNG taskforce
* Government contracts to be written up in place for funding
* PNG 18th team
* Plans for 19-team league by 2030

ARL wants two additional NRL franchises by 2030.

It’s expected that Team 18 would be a Papua New Guinea side introduced in 2026 or 2027.

Team 19 would then be a side based in Perth, possibly a joint bid with the North Sydney Bears

The Flippers are an expansion team and guess what they are in QLD which is the Thugby's back yard. Why didn't they put a team in Perth or a 2nd team in Melbourne?

They'll never be able to keep up with the AFL then will they if they are too scared to expand into AFL territories.

Thanks Skip great comment pal! Apart from the fact of .....ummmm........oh yeah.......Melbourne Storm. Established 1998. Right in the middle of fumbledome. Probably the most successful RL team of the past quarter century. Seem to be going ok.

If they go to Perth it'll be a sure fire winner. But I'd be giving Adelaide a miss. A little pissant of a place. Not worth worrying about.

I think the Suns are doing okay. GWS on the other hand - think they need to really focus on endearing themselves to local community.

1. Get rid of the “greater”

2. No home gsmes in Canberra. Could still play in Canberra but as the away team - hawthorn and north could sell their home gsmes instead.
