Still making excuses I see. Something that's "a rectangular field sport" that pulls a crowd doesn't make the slightest bit of fricking difference! And yet they didn't keep it at 100,000! How about some real world thinking for a change, Dave? Oh I forgot. You can't and I know why......

of all those stadiums listed are all rectangle, except for 4 of them.
if you go through the list nearly all of the large stadiums are rectangular, fields where, Soccer, Gridion, Union or League are played on.
very stadiums are oval, they are generally purpose built for Olympics so they can fit a athletics track around it
so dave your theory is as usual BS

actually, speaking of illiterate tools, did you acturaly read about any of the grounds, or are the words to big for you?

most of the grounds in the list where either opened in the late 90s or at east had major stadium renovations done to it.
the only reason why ANZ was built was because of the Olympics not because of the NRL, other wise they will still be struggling to fill Allianz Stadium! :(/

the only time league fan get any where near filling the ground is for the GF or SOO state vs state, every other game of league that gets played only, 15k to 20k people to turn up
really it should be more!, with sports that are played on rectangular fields, Rugby, Soccer provides a better viewing because you are closer to the action, but then again you need a large supporter base! :(/

AFL regularly get crowds of 50k, 60k, 70k, 80k 90k * even 100k! all on a large oval, where fans are further away from the action, but they come to see a far more spectacular game :)))
packed out stadiums all around AUS something only the NRL can dream of.

of all those stadiums listed are all rectangle, except for 4 of them.
if you go through the list nearly all of the large stadiums are rectangular, fields where, Soccer, Gridion, Union or League are played on.
very stadiums are oval, they are generally purpose built for Olympics so they can fit a athletics track around it
so dave your theory is as usual BS

how many that hold 100K plus were built after 2000 though ( actually 2001 the year ANZ was reduced ) ......

well RL has only had a venue in its main heartland city that could hold 100K plus .. for just 2 years
1999 & 2000
it would also have recorded at least 20 100K crowds for Grand Finals & test matches against the poms over the years since 1908

also
all 20 for the fumbles & bumbles ........... in the one city
infact this one horse town of a code has only had 1 city record all its crowds above 73K    :(/ :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<> :_<>

the 4 100K plus for RL

Excuses, excuses, Dave. Why didn't they keep it at 100,000? I know why - because they had no faith in pulling such a big crowd consistently. Even with SOO!
RL is a rectangle field sport cockhead
so is no good on oversized cake tins with no atmosphere like say .... the MCG
Still making excuses I see. Something that's "a rectangular field sport" that pulls a crowd doesn't make the slightest bit of fricking difference! And yet they didn't keep it at 100,000! How about some real world thinking for a change, Dave? Oh I forgot. You can't and I know why......

none

the biggest that's ok would be Wembley & it went from 100K plus ... to 90K ... just a few more then ANZ's present capacity
of 84K
those that are over 100K ( a few soccer venues & College football venues in the US) do not provide a good experience for those sitting miles from the playing field

this is the reason why ANZ's capacity was reduced you dribbling ****

Expanded 1928, 1949, 1955, 1992, 1998, 2010
Owner University of Michigan
Operator University of Michigan
3rd stadium on the top of the list :(/
so as i said nearly all the stadiums on the list from ANZ and up nearly all of them had major renovations done to them since the late 90s
so the majority of stadium in the world are rectangular and very few are oval
again Raiderdave how am i wrong i have proven you wrong again, your next post you will throw some insults and try and deflect the topic :)))

the only reason why ANZ was built was because of the Olympics not because of the NRL, other wise they will still be struggling to fill Allianz Stadium! :(/

the only time league fan get any where near filling the ground is for the GF or SOO state vs state, every other game of league that gets played only, 15k to 20k people to turn up
really it should be more!, with sports that are played on rectangular fields, Rugby, Soccer provides a better viewing because you are closer to the action, but then again you need a large supporter base!

You can't and I know why......

the biggest that's ok would be Wembley & it went from 100K plus ... to 90K ... just a few more then ANZ's present capacity
of 84K
those that are over 100K ( a few soccer venues & College football venues in the US) do not provide a good experience for those sitting miles from the playing field

the majority of large stadiums in the world are rectangular, eg soccer, rugby and gridiron , they keep getting larger.
10k 20k plus larger capacities.
ANZ was only down graded due to being a typical bland concrete peace of shit from Sydney!. that plays host to 15k sized crowds all the time from the NRl :(/

its funny because rectangular fields provide a betting viewing because the field is smaller and you are closer to most of the action.
Soccer manages to fill stadiums
Gridiron manages to fill stadiums
League :?>
