Is like an A league team calling itself the best Soccer team in the world.
And you obviously don't include any other states besides NSW and QLD when talking about Australia.
I did .
But you won't touch my posts .
Why is that .

5 capital ratings.....which has long been the aflol fan way of showing popularity show that across Aust ...all across the 5 Caps ...Soo was far far far far bigger than AD game .

Come on sarge
I'm playing by your rules .
I posted the figures .
You don't want to play anymore .
Happens a lot when you get caught bullshitting .
Back on topic .
sarge why won't you discuss this?

Is it because it destroys your bullshit topic .

& when you realise how stupid you were about having a fumble game as bigger than SOO .
Then we can discuss the Bledisloe V SOO .

My guess is you'll run from that too .

You started the thread .
Yet when shown how fucking moronic it is you run .
Bump again for the gutless flog .
Let's discuss the 5 city Capital ratings for the 2 events .

Yep popularity right across Aust just like you asked but now won't touch .
Come on in sarge ...& stay on topic please ?.not deflect onto swans games like you already have .
FFS your the one that reignighted this thread - if you can't cope with other people's perspectives I suggest you get counselling!

Lol firstly you tried to pass this off as an official list when you started this thread ,
You now say it's a perspective .
Lol
Warped perspective .
You wanted to discuss Aust wide .
I showed how SOO smashed your Anzac game Aust wide .
Now you've been shown up as wrong ,moronic & living in a delusional bubble you are backing away from it .

Come on sarge I've posted figures to show the popularity across the 5 capitals .

Let's discuss it .
Those numbers don't lie .
But you do

And where did I make any claim that it was an official list??? It was a discussion thread only - if you can't see without references or sources it is what it is then it's your fault. Not one AFL poster has taken the thread that way only RL posters who hate being challenged and can't accept half the country doesn't think of RL the way you do.

You have shown nothing to back up your perspective/lie about Anzac Day or Bledisloe is a bigger event .
Seems you can't .
So you're either a liar ...
Or a delusional moronic fool .
I say both .

I've destroyed your argument in here
I await your reply .

Bump . This thread should always be kept up the top .
Just to highlight the rampant jealousy/delusion & utter stupidity of some fumble fans .
Also highlights how they dog it when they get smashed in their own thread .

Idiot.

How can anything have national relevance with under 2 million people bothering to watch.

2 million and under is something both NRL and AFL club games in the serious part of the season will get, that's not national relevance, that's club relevance or code relevance for the day, it's a decent rating, but nothing like the top 5 where 3.5 - 4.5 million plus watch.
This thread is about NATIONAL relevance, not what sport gets the most viewers on a particular night - I am 1st to admit SOO is one of the biggest events in NSW and QLD and rates well in Vic, but Australia in case you have forgot has SA, WA, NT and Tassie too. It doesn't do that great and therefore is not as relevant regardless of most of NSW and QLD tuning in. Why can't you grasp that concept?
& I posted the ratings for SA WA .
You just don't want to discuss them .
Because they destroy your bullshit argument .

Tell me brains .
How do you judge NATIONAL relevance in states that a game is not played in .

Lol this'll be good

In the eastern states where the majority of the population live ..which is also RL heartland .
Less than 100 k were interested in the AFL AD game .
Yet in the non RL States over 600k were interested in SOO .
It's no contest .

You keep ranting about interest in SA WA etc in SOO
Yet ignore the far less interest in QLd & NSW for the ANZAC day game .

You're a ****** .
Care to discuss swines .

Around 45 percent of Australia's population live in your eastern states (nsw + qld)

That's not the majority of Australia's population

How did you go at school 50 years ago?

Lol poor old dockhead
Wrong again
Seriously what is wrong with you fumblers
You post either
Misinformation or straight out lies

Why the need to do that .
It doesn't take much to research a topic .

This is a list of Australian states and territories by ranking using Australian Bureau of Statistics population estimates.[1]

Rank (in order) State / Territory Population (June 2010) Population (June 2015) Change % of Australian total
1 New South Wales 7,238,800 7,618,200 + 5.24% 32.03%
2 Victoria 5,547,500 5,938,100 + 7.04% 24.97%
3 Queensland 4,516,400 4,779,400 + 5.82% 20.09%
4 Western Australia 2,296,400 2,591,600 + 12.85% 10.89%

How'd ya go at maths at school dockhead?

I researched this a while back.... Wikipedia my source not a shitty government source :)

That 45percent was also without act. But I am sure most of the people within act couldn't give a rat's arse about the NRL or AFL

You started this pile of shit thread in 2013 .
Let's compare your Anzac Day game v SOO in 2013 .with some cold hard facts ..not your bullshit AFL bias .

SOO .
The 2013 State of Origin decider has become the highest rating rugby league game of all time with 4.232 million Australian viewers tuning in to watch the match on Channel Nine and associated networks.
With the game coming down to the wire, as New South Wales came back to within two points of breaking Queensland’s streak, a record TV audience for rugby league joined a record crowd of 83,813 at ANZ Stadium to watch the match.

Quick stats:
– The Game III audience (4.232 million) surpassed the 2005 Grand Final (4.102 million) as the highest rating Rugby League match of all time;
– Game III was the highest rating Origin match in history (previous best: 2012 Origin Game III, 4.063 million).
– The match peaked at 3.103 million viewers across the ‘Five-City Metro’ last night and achieved the highest regional rating ever for any Origin game with 1.533m viewers (previous highest: 2013 Game 1 – 1.466m).
– An average of 1.165 million viewers watched the game in Sydney on Channel Nine, with a peak of 1.292 million; while in Brisbane, there was an average audience of 865,000, peaking at 952,000.
– In Melbourne, where the game was the highest rating Origin match of all time, there was an average audience of 464,000, peaking at 576,000 viewers.
– In Adelaide, the game averaged 95,000 viewers and peaked at 129.000; while in in Perth, an average audience of 110,000 watched the game live on GEM, with the audience peaking at 154,000.
– The 2013 Series became the highest rating in history with a cumulative total audience of 11.966 million viewers watching over the three games (11.897 million in 2012)*;

Now let's compare .....across the country ...not just in a couple of states as you say .

Total viewers .

Lol no contest .RL wins easily .
In
Bris ...lol RL wins
In Syd lol RL wins
In fact less than 100k combined watched AFL in the 2 cities combined .

In Adelaide AFL won by 35k ....nearly 100 k watched SOO
In Perth AFL won by 27 k ...110 k watched SOO

in Melb AFL won 581 to 464

So in AFL heartland 670k watched SOO
In RL heartland 95 k watched the AFL .

All up far more Australians across the country ....not just in 2 states watched the SOO .

Yet you think the AFL game is a far bigger sporting event .
:(/ :(/ :(/

Don't you just hate it when you get smashed with facts .

Put a fork in swines
He's done .
Bump for swines .
& lol after this post he still went on about National relevance .
& a SOO game in Melb .
There was not a game played there that yr

Lol 670k v 95 k in the non heartland States .

But but but
Let's talk a little about relevance -
Melb cup v SOO
Melb cup massive betting on the day all around Aust
Melb cup massive media coverage Aust wide with full page spreads in major papers all over Australia.
Melb cup, radio interviews of jockeys, owners, trainers leading up to and on the day all across Australia,
Melb Cup things associated with cup I.e. Fashion shows are debated and viewed Australia wide. Large crowd
Etc etc etc.

SOO prior to MELB 2015 had only one thing which you keep plugging TV ratings - now if it doesn't repeat its performance in 2015 it will again lose out to more deserving events. Now I've educated you that relevance is NOT dependent on ONE KPI and your argument looks too stupid to express perhaps now you understand! ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Lol .
I've admitted the Melb cup is big .
It's the rest of your retaaaardedd list that's laughable .
So stop deflecting from your ACC day game .

& can you tell me how relevance is shown across Aistralia for an event?
If it's played in SYD ..then 1 million people from WA aren't going to go to it .
There's only a limited number of seats .
The only other gauge of interest is viewers on TV .

But that argument destroys yours .
So you rant against it .
