Just curious ... Was there some type of ticket tape parade for the returning Australian team ... You would think so given they are the new world champs. Goodness, England went crazy when they won the ru wc a few years back.

Of course there wasn't. Because not enough people actually care.

Must be a big pie - 700k members - highest TV ratings - highest revenue. Perhaps the NRL should aspire to the same!

If we're talking elite level crowds, the jealousy is coming from the NRL!

A fucking parade ffs, lmao.

The Kangaroos have had their civic receptions and parades over the years in it's various forms, they're just too damn good.

You usually get a parade after a long drought in winning or a first off, it's usually for club teams in certain cities but can go above that to a national level. Usually once you have had a civic reception, you don't tend to receive them every farking time you win something :(/

The Kangaroos have more or less won everything for 40 bloody years and it took them 30 years to start winning, why should they get a parade every 4 years when they got a parade back then? No one else does.

The Swans won not long ago again, did they get a second civic reception?

No, no they didn't. Derps!

they win because league never rates a mention any other country, hence Australian dominance and the NRl supplying more than half the players.
the Kangaroos didnt get a reception because no one care's about them

You & the point don't meet much.
We are talking INTERNATIONAL..
& yet you deflect onto other things..wow how surprising.

Once again for the mentally challenged.
A NRL player can represent his country ,proudly wear the green & gold, sing the anthem ,
Play against traditional foes England & NZ(have for 100YRS).
What can a derpballer do.
Stand on stage with a few other uncos under a 4 & 20 sign .That's the height of international stardom for derpers.
Cant represent their country at their sport.
Never get to play for their country at fumble...
The Sausage Rollers play NO fucking One.

Same would go for a number of sports ... NFL would be one. Gaelic football, hurling others. Yet it seems not to impact on those countries enjoyment of those games ?
