Hawthorn won this year ? Swans last year ??
Also , under our system the best team doesn't always win the grand final ... The best team on the day win the grand final ... Anything can happen on the day ... The best team is the team that finishes on top after hone and away in my opinion.

The system stinks.Go to BF & have alook at the threads about COLA.
Only ones supporting are the fans of Sydney cheats.
What sort of a contrived/compromised comp has some teams getting more than others.
Its outright cheating.
Everyteam should be on a level playing field ,,Salary cap wise.
The draft is supposed to be for lesser bottom of the ladder teams to get decent players...sorry they go to Vlads pet projects.
Why do AFL fans accept this....

And neither is the USA Tomahawks - thought that was pretty obvious but I always have to spell things out for you - fuck mind of an 8 yr old!
Doesn't seem to be bothering the Americans where the players are from, tell someone who gives a fuck sweetheart

That's why there's nothing to see there, ParraEel! They're putting over a team made up of NON Americans! Go figure!

tell someone who cares sweetheart. more americans will join the team in 2017 as people convert from union and others who initially discarded union realise what rugby is all about. big hits, dazzling skill and amazing plays. which union does have to some extent, but is often obscured by other things.

What's the big deal ... I'm not getting it? Who really cares if a competition in a other code is run to develop the game. I mean look at the international rules ... What a joke that is!!! I am unsure why some people give a hoot or have to deride the rlwc... Good on them for trying to grow the game I say. Sure, the make up of some of the teams are a bit dodgy ... Everyone knows that ... But it's an attempt to grow the game. Anyone remember AFL soo when they had nsw that allowed Sydney swans players to be eligible for NSw ???

Some do, some don't. Those that do understand the enormous effort it takes to grow the game in new markets. Without a team that is at least competitive for the majority of the time that is very difficult. Given most AFL players come from southern states, and the drive to play in your home state can be pretty strong, it makes some sense to make playing interstate more attractive. Add to that the high cost of living in Sydney and the case for COLA has some merit.
The NRL do a similar thing to a degree don't they? My understanding is that the storm have one of the highest football department budgets in the NRL, with much of it coming from their owners who for the majority of their history have been part owners of the league. Its in their interest to keep the storm competitive, and theyve delivered in spades with finals appearances almost every year. Why don't the storm have a COLA? Well with a huge football department spend they sort of do, plus Melbourne is cheaper to live in than Sydney.

And AFL has all of those things combined! So on that basis AFL will slaughter RL in the US by 2017!!
