this is 2million for a group stage game, and you're comparing it to essentially the final of the RLWC which hasnt happened yet. In any case, obviously as a percentage RL in Oz will beat RL in UK as it is more popular per capita here. But if got 5+million for the final that'd still be good, i dont see why that is bad. Better than AFL in any other country.

the figures speak for there selves, take out the state of origin, the ratings are even worse

hey Adam regarding the data above can you tell me or does anybody else in here know what was included in the figures? By that i mean for the AFL does the figures include the NAB cup or just the regular season, does the nrl figures include the representative games as well as the regular season or not?
If both are just the regular season for 2012 the figures would be;
AFL - 216 games ÷ 2012 total = 571,113
NRL - 201 games ÷ 2012 total = 567,119
I couldnt be bothered working out the figures with NAB cup and RL rep fixtures included so does anyone know for certain what those figures actually do include?

England is where League started 100 years ago, so its in its original home land, in a country where Rugby union is big,
but when you're to such pitiful sized crowds and ratings, of course its impressive!

England actually has about 52 million people i dunno where you got 120 from. seriously you better be careful because with posts like that one, you may find people mistaking you for a 'yank', the ones who are loud and obnoxious and believe that everyone should like what they do and anyone against the grain is un-patriotic, and they are generally clueless to whats going on outside their world.... (haha did anyone guess where i was going with that?)

And FYI England is just over half the size of victoria aswell... lol I hope you take no offense to all that Adam, it was just some harmless humor in the spirit of 'fight club'. Lol I even made the text smaller so it does not take away too much attention from the first (more serious) part of my post. P.S I also apologise to any Americans that May have found offence to the negative stereotypes i used, again no harm intended I just thought it would be funny to include the generalisation of your average American in the eyes of the world and use it to compare with a fan of AF(who coincidently are often painted with those same negative stereotypes...
