Searle happy that Gallop will foot the bill "for a multimillion-dollar web of debt that could still trigger its demise".
Way to NRL.

King-Eliagh wrote:It certainly looks bad for the titans. Such a shame they lost their way but there's always been something about them which doesnt appeal. Poor management is a big part of the process as the people of the GC love their RL, as indicated by the large crowd numbers in their first few years returning.
3 clubs have folded already on the Gold Coast. The Titans will be the forth. You sure about your statement above? History and the current troubles for the Titans and NRL on the Gold Coast would suggest otherwise.

Yes its a history of poorly managed clubs, poorly coached teams and inadequate promotion to the public. The people love it up there but a dudd club without a long history is a dudd club.

If the people loved RL so much, wouldn't they support their club through the good and the bad time without concerning themselves with management? Hmm, don't seem very loyal and loving of RL and their own club if you ask me.

The club doesnt have a long history beaussie. A supporter base doesnt just become loyal and supportive just because there's a team there. Thousands of people of the GC would likely be loyal and supportive of the broncos.

Maybe not, but a code should. People have jumped off RL on the GC. Advantage AFL!

Xman you can take your last comment to the BS files. You simply cant prove people have jumped off RL on the GC.

One home game and you're claiming they have dropped. If they are averaging 12k after 5 home games you may be right. But after one game game against Adelaide It's way too early to say.

The supporters are still there for RL. They may have left the titans but you can bet your bottom dollar they still support RL Xman.

And more than half of your clubs survive only through handouts.
Evidence demanded of what I have bolded and underlined - which 10 clubs are surviving solely on handouts and would fold without them?
No evidence - this comment goes into the BS file because that's what it is. BS.
I'm still waiting, Pussycat!
Okay, Pussycat refused to respond, so I've asked for this to be filed as BS.

Is there any other way of describing the Gold Coast Titans?

An entertaining and fair description beaussie. I hope they get their balance soon as the GC suns look to be gettin tipsy mighty quickly

We will come back to this thread mid season King, lol it want be pretty for the Thuns. Crowds after constant thrashings will drop drastically.
