I can tell you that a number of AFL NSW/ACT office people aren't voting for any of the senators who were a part of that committee.

ridiculous .. why ?Beaussie wrote:As has been pointed out, the sentate report is ridiculous. Fancy a senate committee trying to tell the AFL where to base a new team. Good on the AFL for ignoring these silly senators from Tasmania with their biased, factually incorrect report.Raiderdave wrote:NSWAFL wrote:Where in the blues blazes did you get that statement, Dave?
its a piece out of a senate report ... ya know .. from the Government

Because it attempted to tell the AFL what sort of supporters the auskick participants would be. What a crock. Why would they possibly be interested in commenting on that if not to push their agenda, which they didn't even attempt to hide.Raiderdave wrote:ridiculous .. why ?Beaussie wrote:As has been pointed out, the sentate report is ridiculous. Probably one of the worst reports I've ever read.
They're opinion is just that, an opinion. They were trying to sway the AFL to start a new club in Tasmania by suggesting the auskick fans will not turn in to reliable fans as adults.Raiderdave wrote:Xman wrote:Because it attempted to tell the AFL what sort of supporters the auskick participants would be. It's not because it's biased towards Tasmania. No biased report can possibly be spot on. AFL NSW/ACT used the report as toilet paper because that's all it was worth. You're only using it because you think it helps you. Well maybe it would, if you did the right thing and drop a rear load on it.Raiderdave wrote:fingers in your ears whilst running around shouting lar lar lar ... will not make it go away
the AFL have got sat on their dates ... something they should get used to
& their **** supporters can cry til the cows come home
the Govt's veiw on ausfudge .... is spot on.

Anyway, who has the 18th AFL license? Not Tasmania! So much for the government having any power to act, because they were flat out wrong.
So why are they so accommodating now with funding for stadiums etc?Raiderdave wrote:no it was spot onNSWAFL wrote:It's not because it's biased towards Tasmania.
