I can tell you that a number of AFL NSW/ACT office people aren't voting for any of the senators who were a part of that committee.

Where in the blues blazes did you get that statement, Dave?

its a piece out of a senate report ... ya know .. from the Government

http://www.aph.gov.au/senate/committee/ ... 2.htm#anc5

As has been pointed out, the sentate report is ridiculous. Fancy a senate committee trying to tell the AFL where to base a new team. Good on the AFL for ignoring these silly senators from Tasmania with their biased, factually incorrect report.
ridiculous .. why ?
because it stuck it fair up your pompus .. arrogant ... shonky sport

a great read
well done to these politicians for telling the AFL exactly the way it is
well done indeed =D> =D> =D> =D>

Because it attempted to tell the AFL what sort of supporters the auskick participants would be. What a crock. Why would they possibly be interested in commenting on that if not to push their agenda, which they didn't even attempt to hide.

Probably one of the worst reports I've ever read.

They're opinion is just that, an opinion. They were trying to sway the AFL to start a new club in Tasmania by suggesting the auskick fans will not turn in to reliable fans as adults.

Funny stuff!

Which makes it even funnier.

Select? They should have selected a committee without a prior agenda!

It's not because it's biased towards Tasmania. No biased report can possibly be spot on. AFL NSW/ACT used the report as toilet paper because that's all it was worth. You're only using it because you think it helps you. Well maybe it would, if you did the right thing and drop a rear load on it.

Anyway, who has the 18th AFL license? Not Tasmania! So much for the government having any power to act, because they were flat out wrong.

Lol

A federal committee tried to get the AFL to start a team in Tasmania instead of NsW.

No surprise the report was so tainted.
