I noticed some of ch10 showing all 8 games per week on FTA. Isn't that going to screw any PayTV contract? Without money from Foxtel the NRL will never get 1Bil. As if Ch10 can afford 1Bil on their own.

Also, how will the NRL ever be shown in the 4 AFL heartland states of Australia? As if TAS SA WA VIC want to see 16 hours of NRL when only Victoria has a team that no one likes. That's ratings suicide.

As I've been saying all along, 1 Billion is pure fantasy from the NRL and its supporters. Not going to happen for many, many reasons we've been over and over again in addition to what you've also outlined here Xman.

That's the whole point! The key areas and Melbourne and Sydney. AFL has a presence in both and a good deal of general support. NRL only has a presence, and the general support only exists in Sydney! General support in Melbourne = ZERO!

If channel9 lose Rugby League that network may aswell pack there bags now. They are gonna be in an even worse state if they lose it. They will be fighting extremly hard to keep it.
