Re: AFL & NRL Footy Crowds - 2025

At the Suns game - told they’re expecting 12000. Looks about at least that - but I can have my usual standing spot without any issue so tells me not a big crowd.

So over 13000 - on a cold and sometimes rainy day (I was freezing - did have a jumper but should havce put a t-shirt underneath) - although a touch of sun came out later in day - which funnily enough Gerald Wheatley commented on in the broadcast on SEN - was late in the game as was directly in my eyes. Not too shabby in a NRL dominated state - and it was Melbourne who traditionally don't travel or pull a crowd lol (particularly in Juner when the snow is falling).Fred wrote: Sat Jun 28, 2025 2:35 pmAt the Suns game - told they’re expecting 12000. Definetely not bickering down for suns game - in fact it rained only in the morning . On Sunday - where I’m at - it rained later evening - in fact went for a nice walk and coffee that morning around paradise point on Sunday.

Must have been raining over the NRL game and missed the AFL game lol. Or the traffic to the NRL ground was busy - as people going to the AFL game use a different route that is less busy. I was going to say two poor teams playing in the NRL but then realised Fremantle and Swans not exactly burning it up.Beaussie wrote: Tue Jul 08, 2025 7:46 amSwans vs Dockers in the AFL at the SCG, up against the Roosters vs Tigers in the NRL next door on Sunday.
