Thing is I could predict at a 90% success rate which games would be lopsided to billio and which games wouldn't in the AFL comp. in the nrl that prediction would drop to about 20% ;)

The basketcase league is very very real, isn't it? :)
Doesn't seem to be keeping the fans away. ARs is a high scoring game which means the better team will usually win. The penalty is the game results are more predictable. The benefit is games are far less likely to be decided by luck or poor umpiring.

I'll take a higher scoring game any day, and so will AFL fans by the look of it

It actually has everything to do with fans and you know it. NRL fans brag about how even their comp is. why is it more even? Because games are low scoring and are therefore more likely to resulting an upset. What is the benefit of a more even comp? interest from the fans, attendance, ratings. Do more fans attend or watch NRL games than AFL in Australia? Nope

Ahh Xman? It's on your chin, some dribble. Wipe it off will ya... ... ... no not there silly, it's on the other side

This thread will never end until the AFL comp is not lopsided to billio. I don't know how long this might continue but if the AFL don't take drastic action then the problems not gunna go away and ill continue on in my awareness campaign to help you poor sods understand just how woeful the situation is.

We've just gone through the most lopsided comp in the history of the AFL , likely the most lopsided in all australias prof sporting history and quite possibly the world. 2013 looks like it could be worse :? I'll be sure to document whether its sliding further into billio or not come end of season.

Suns are doing okay .. Was at the game and a great atmosphere. Even in the rain. I think there has always been the easy beat team in the AFL ... I remember saints always struggling for a win, then the swans. At present is Melbourne. You have the new clubs which has seen two added to it but suns are lifting . Gws will too. We currently have north and saints where no one thought they would be and at half way mark things are as they should be. I think every comp in the world has a bottom side or two were it would be expected that the top teams would beat the bottom teams .. Although losing players to origin does even teams up.

I give to you, the basketcase league of 2013 folks, in all its glory! :D :D :D :) :) :D :D :D :o :o :o :D :D :D :) :) :D :D :D ... ... ...
Oooooohhhhh that's gotta BUUUUUUURRRRRN!
But STRUTH!"its just melbs and the gws tweens that need to improve" they say  Seriously we need to ask - could this season be more lopsided than 2012? I'll let yas know come end of season when i compile the stats  And do you think sporting bet know something every single AFL supporter on this site doesnt know? I think they do, its called the bleeding obvious

Now to add some salt to the wound lets compare what the folk down at sporting bet have got for the nrl, a competitive professional australian sporting league.

South Sydney --- 3.75
Melbourne Cheats --- 4.00
Sydney --- 5.50
Manly --- 7.00
Canterbury Corrupt cheating dogs--- 9.00
Cronulla --- 17.00
Brisbane --- 21.00
Canberra --- 26.00
Gold Coast --- 34.00
Newcastle --- 34.00
North Qld --- 34.00
New Zealand --- 51.00
Penrith --- 67.00
St George --- 101.00
Wests --- 251.00
Parramatta --- 331.00

Lordy lordy my, it's over folks, I'm terribly sorry it took me nigh on 18months to give you the obvious low down. But its been fun telling you the bleeding obvious week in and week out, with you all denying it like a pack of confused snotty nosed buffoons, making me look like a genius. For that I thank you :D . But now please, lets move on and come up with some options for this darstardly lopsided competition they call the AFL.

What can they do? How can this be fixed? Who's to blame? Long term goals, short term goals and actions or both? Demetriou given the boot? Answers folks, lets get answers now! [-o<
Reposted to shovel some perspective into Xman and stewies noggins. Things aren't "as they should be" in the AFL comp folks. And it's not "one or two struggling teams" down there who are uncompetitive. It's a small bit growing league within a league. It's a basketcase league!

someone has to finish last

but its the stark.... stark .. difference in quality of our cellar dwellers to the VFL's

how is this happening :-k

we have free agency
the VFL has a draft

yet we still seem to portion out our available talent a hell of a lot better then the VFL does
having 6 teams simply not being able to compete against ... let alone beat ... 6 others in a comp consisting of 18 teams THAT HAS A DRAFT !!!

is an utter disgrace
odds of $1.01 week after week after week ..... 1 fucking cent in winnings being on offer for punters to part with their dollar...... is laughable
ridiculous .... a joke
I hear sports agencies wanted to cease betting & offering odds on many VFL games last year but legally weren't able to

you lot can but but but all you want
you know your comp is a cluster fuck ... its never been worse

admit it
let the truth set you free

Half the interest? Hmmm, averaging 25k as opposed to 35k, but in a stadium with restricted general admission.

Well over 100k watching on fox and 7s second channel. The AFL watched by 80k or more on fox/mate in QLD.

Sorry, your comments are as inaccurate as usual.

Our comp IS uneven. Hardly surprising after introducing 2 new teams. Already the suns are competitive and the giants won't be far behind. In 10yrs time the AFL will be way way ahead.
