1.3 million shown into two states only for the first Rugby League game of the year, not bad eh, and the AFL/vfl will not beat this figure until at least September.

Rugby League, off to a massive start :\:
Below the same game 2 years ago I believe.

RL has no problem attracting small crowds or TV ratings from rep games. It's your club games that are laughable.

I would bet you that the Parra vs Brisbane game would smash most AFL season games this year on the Box, but it kinda sucks when you have the cricket on the other channel and most of us whatever footy code we follow like cricket.

yet was down on the year before. Rep ball is the saving grace for the NRL. SOO, internationals and this game are well supported. The rest is, meh................. :?

Really, is that why with less FTA games no nation wide, RL still beats the AFL/vfl?

Yeah, must be rep footy on tv each week.

No.
When the NRL win FTA it's only for FN and only for the reasons I mentioned: live, targetted, flexible scheduling, prime time etc...

Why do I know this? Look at your 9.30 games ratings. They are dismal. Yet they are very similar to the AFLs circumstances: delayed, non targetted, non prime-time,

Sunday too.

RL wins most weeks.

The only way AFL/vfl stay in the race is because of nationwide coverage and extra games.

Deal with it.

And what was the excuse before we had live FNF and only 1 game?

Oh that's right, you weren't on the forums.

Blowin.

Rubbish. The only reason RL can claim any false victory is because one person can watch 7 different games of RL a week, and only 4.5 games of AFL. There's the majority of your difference right there.

Really?

Talk about scrapping the bottom.

I can watch 4 FTA alf/vfl games alone ffs, so there goes your theory.

And so can I. But even with both fox and FTA combined I may be able to see 7 different games (last year) but only ever 4.5 in total per weekend because the majority clash.

And stop sidestepping the issue that RL wins most Sundays on FTA shown into 2 states only with mostly nsw teams being shown
