SO, the cash-strapped NRL has been knocked back for a $30 million bank loan. The fact we even need one is outrageous. The fact we’ve been rejected is surely enough for commission chairman John Grant to stand down. Not next month, not next week. Now.
Even more funny when the nrlol posted a large profit one year it had all of the fans shooting off prematurely

how the nrlol was going to build a war chest to take on the AFL! 4 years down the track of the nrls 5 year plan

so next year is gonna be the big one

Saw this as well?
We’ve now heard the NRL has been unsuccessful in its initial attempts to secure the money, with one lender knocking back their application.
Sources have told us League Central wanted to borrow $50 million, but was knocked back. A spokesman declined to respond to that claim directly, but added the NRL remained in talks with various lenders. One source of finance could be the clubs themselves.
Not saying one way or another about the varacity of these claims just saying there is talk out there. Had the nrl addressed these claims as false? I would imagine if they were false they would have knocked them clearly on the head and if so then end of story ... but if not then surely it's okay to discuss ?

You're as thick as that other fumble halfwit
Total lack of comprehension .
I'm not arguing about wether they got knocked back for a loan .
I'm asking for a source for the bullshit he added .
Go back to the BOLDED BIT where he claims they were knocked back for fudging .
Then go join him in finding a source for that load of shit.
It doesn't exist .
It's just another lie by link .

I try not to get involved but wasn't there a news article or something on this loan stuff ? I'll do a google search I guess but thought this was in the news?
There has been a few different articles about the nrl being knocked back! Crapper jumps ups and down and demands proof! So you post it, he cries lies in fits of denial then finds something else that has been posted in the the paragraph the deflects on to that! This is why every thread ends up in constant dribble.
All I've done is ask for proof or a source for your claim about WHY they got knocked back
Address that claim & show a source & I'll say I'm wrong you were right
Seeing as it doesn't exist ..there is absolutely nothing anywhere about knocked back due to the NRL FUDGING FIGURES ...then that makes that claim a straight out lie ..

Fair enough. I must admit I just scroll through your and his dribble ... I thought it was whether the loan was knocked back or not. My mistake if it was about it was knocked back for fudging. My apologies.

crapper knows all this but I'm in denial about it, as it's been discussed many a times
Two or three years ago an accounting firm errors in the nrlols annual report with the nrlol over inflating their profit
Last years annual report from the nrlol noted down they made a profit, but for that profit to happen it includes a 50million dollar advancement from the new broadcast deal,
I can provide links of proof when i get back from work...
You think a code with a billion dollar broadcast deal in place, turning over hundreds of millions in revenue, would & millions in sponsorship deals & assets would be approved for a $30 million dollar loan?
Who ever is crunching the numbers as nrlol house needs a new calculator

Last weeks Melbourne Storm game rated higher in Melbourne than any Swans game in Sydney this year - albeit the fumblers were having a little kiddies nap before the finals lololololololol.
Further though: the Storm averaged 73,842 viewers per game in Melbourne whilst the Swans/Giants combined average was 74,530 in Sydney. This is a very pleasing result for RL after the time, promotion and hundreds of millions of dollars pumped into the Sydney market by the AFL.
You won't find any of this from the fumblers anywhere including the supposed Mr TV 'analyst' aka Mr AFL/Ch7 Fanboy who said the Storms ratings last weekend 'in Melb didn't do anything' after telling us on a weekly basis how good the Swans rate in Sydney lololololololololololol.
That's the facts. No bias.

He's not an analyst - he's an AFL/Ch7 promoter plain and simple.

LOL , fark ...Taxes or no taxes its a farking business and needs to make money like all the rest.
They make money, it's called revenue. What they dont need to make is a profit. Thats why everything they earn they spend. The fact we play out of state of the art stadiums and will own one worth 1 billion shortly is the direct result of spending what we earn for the benefit of the game
Business(any) - profit = fucked
Non profit organisations only have to balance their books nothing more. Of course earning more allows more spending

Id say a fair proportion of melbourne are used to watching sport on a septmeber saturday night, and the all conquering storm scratched that itch when there was no AFL on for the weekend. Its a good result but according to pussycat one third of nrl fans in sydney watch the AFL on friday night after 9.45pm anyway.
If i was an nrl fan id be a little miffed at how the storm continue to dominate ypur comp after almost 2 decades

Of course you would. There are no positives for RL allowed in your bubble dwelling world. FYI - the Storm have won 4 premierships over the last 20 years and 2 were rubbed out due to salary cap cheating.
Re the ratings: If you read the full post it actually shows that the Storm rated more in Melbourne over the season than the Swans did in Sydney. When the average ratings for both the Swans and Giants were added together they had a very slight win over the Storm - that's 2 games V 1.
