So the bottom teams shouldn't have any fans turn up, play in completely empty stadiums, reduce their football spending by millions, lose sponsors.......

Fail...

The best teams currently are Geelong, stkilda, Collingwood, west coast, hawthorn. in the mid 2000's they were all basket cases.

Seems like fan support worked for them ******!

Really? Hmmm, Geelong hadn't won a premiership since the 60's. going by your logic they shouldn't have had any fans! Just fold into oblivion.

Now theyve been the best team of the last 7 years!

Support is support through thick and thin. It applies to every sport!

Ever heard the term fair weather supporter, or bandwagoner? Theyre NOT complementary terms. You are the very definition of this description.

Is Raiderdave really saying that big crowds and memberships for a club performing poorly is a bad thing?

Send this guy back to his mental institute please, his pills are calling!

!

it is

it destroys incentive to do better
theres so many VFL clubs who have been perennial failures for decades .... & their fans contribute to it by not being harsh

members have a right to ask what the hell clubs are using their hard earned money on ?
but
VFL fans are ****'s .. they question nothing
they just keep forking out for memberships .. & ask for nothing in return .... its pathetic beyond words

Almost 3,000 Canberra residents have signed up to be GIANTS members for 2013, taking the overall tally to 8,900, which is 5,500 better than last season.
Good to see the increase coming from Western Sydney.
But, but, but.... Raiderdave told us there were less than 2,000 members from Sydney with the bulk of the Giants membership being ACT based. More lies exposed.

If all nRL fans carry that attitude, I wonder what is going to happen to the storm if they miss the finals 3 times in a row.

GWS over 9,000 now, and the NAB cup hasn't even started. Just goes to show results aren't everything in the AFL. Community engagement matters, and the Giants have excelled at this.

Penrif Panfers total... 3609.

Source: Franklin 2323 from LU. On the same page arse Raiderdave admitted that the Broncos need another wriggle on to reach their target. They also need to heavily rely on one game memberships for a home game against North Queensland. You know your code is in trouble when you need to offer one game memberships in a city that hosts 12 games!

Also remember these Panfers memberships are dirt cheap. http://www.penrithpanthers.com.au/membership

Looks like the effect of GWS and the Wanderers is really starting to hurt them.
