I think it is the bi-weekly regular games that will be of interest. You'd expect when they start it should be decent enough - and a sold out first game you'd think. But from there - with just locals ?? That will be the test - but even if not large or decent crowds in first few years, the idea is to grow the game and build over time.
I'm still interested if they include the Bear's history or if they start anew?

SOO sells out most times its played NRL almost never can get close to filling a decent half sized venue
the NRL cant sell out a double header, the Bears the first few game s go close the rest will be down hill

yeah i was hopeful of tonight an announcement on news at the Stadium about the bears on Colours design etc.
but does not look like it.
(unsure about History)
depends who you talk too.. ( i myself want be referring them as a Sydney team (they will 100% be a Perth team)
the thing is it will not be a weekly game in Perth
it will be a game every 2 weeks throughout the season)

the Giants vs Suns game of all teams out drew 4 NRL games

Fantastic effort by the Giants and the AFL to attract a crowd bigger than 4 other NRL games in Sydney.
The kids go free round and local junior footy clubs on display from across western and south western Sydney was great to see. Hearing how loud the Giants fans were in the last quarter, as the team came back to win was also really encouraging to see. Predominantly all Giants fans in the stadium shows the potential for growth.
The Giants should offer free or cheap $10 tickets in the stands facing the tv cameras. Perhaps discount memberships to start selling the top decks on the sunny side.
