Almost 3,000 Canberra residents have signed up to be GIANTS members for 2013, taking the overall tally to 8,900, which is 5,500 better than last season.
Good to see the increase coming from Western Sydney.

The Richmond Football Club, today, reached capacity in two of its premium membership categories.
The Clubs 3121 and Premiership Circle (Level 2 reserved seating) membership packages are now officially closed with all spots allocated for season 2013.

Their current membership tally is 38,337. Pretty much twice as much as the highest nRL club.
Wow, just wow. =D>
says a lot about Victorians really .... & nothing much else
they accept abject medicority
they cheer average
their continued unconditional support puts no pressure on the club to suceed ... showing just how stupid Victorians are
a few years of falling memberships is what mediocre victorian clubs ( and theres plenty ) .. need to fire up & climb the ladder ... instead of continued placings
in the bottom 6
VFL .... wall to wall average

Rubbish!
Richmond are a sleeping giant. Their support is nothing compared to what will happen if they ever actually succeed. Then you will see real support!

Bahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahah.
Hang em out to dry.
Might not have a decent comp?
2012 was one of the best season in a long time, much better than 2011. To top it off the GF was a classic whilst the nRL's was a snore fest much like every other game from that amateur suburban league. And to think that GWS and Gold Coast are only going to improve as well.
thats akin to saying Poort Poohsalot had a good season financially
the VFL season was the lowest quality ... lowest standard ... in living memory
& thats according to many VFL pundits ...
it was beyond appalling
with sooooo many mediocre sides stinking up the joint .... the gap between the good & the bad ... has never been wider & it threw up a woeful comp as a result
meanwhile we had our eventual wooden spooner thumping our eventual premier in the H&A .. in our regular season ( 16th beating 1st at the time)
showing the NRL was a high quality ... EVEN ...comp
NRL.... thumbs up . great season
VFL.... phewwwwwww.... whats that smell

It shows that they're passionate about football you dumbfuck. Twist it however you like but you know it's the truth. I can't wait until the Storm fail for a few years. Crowds will plummet.

Typical NRL fan! Too cold, too hot, too far, too sunny, too wet, too stupid....
Supporters support their club. NRL fans are viewers only.
You think 40k members is big, and rewarding mediocrity? Wait til they get 65k when they make the 8!

Perhaps it's a different mentality up in Rugby League, but in Australian Rules you support the jumper, not the meat-sack that's wearing it that day.

thats right
validating & passively accepting embarrasingly bad.... & excusing it because its my team , my club .... its as pathetic as it gets
boo them
throw things at them..... appeal to their sense of pride in the jumper .. yell at them, that they have no right to wear that proud honourable jumper
the way they are playing
thats the NRL way =D> =D> =D>
brained washed merino baaaing ... wether winning or losing ... thats the VFL way

So your solution to improving a teams performance is to stop supporting them?
Less members = less revenue = less budget for football department.......

& more incentive to get your house in order
otherwise you get sacked
it hardens & sharpens everyone up & probably explains why 15 of the 16 NRL clubs have at least made the prelim final since 2000
& 12 of 16 have made it to the big dance =D> =D> =D>
while the VFL has so much mediocre ... so much average
theres no incentive to succeed
theres sooooo many dumb shits who follow us regardless .... we don't need to succeed .. I mean It'd be nice .. but not essential like it is in the results driven NRL
NRL ... succeed .. or FUCK OFF , & if you don't .... WE ( the fans ).. will
VFL....... meh .. its ok if you don't win ... we still WUV WOO ......

.. have you ever seen anything so pathetic
