Ratings aren't everything of course, and they do have a massive recognition as a team - branding is good - however the drop - particularly against Brazil who I think are a high drawing team - is concerning and would not want to be a trend.
they're a bandwagon for sure
that is as many predicted .. starting to derail ... they are massively over rated & in reality.. pretty average.

Yea , they'll disrupt the start to the 2026 season for the NRL , AFL , Super Rugby & a portion of the A League too , all of March unfortunately but not to the extent of the WC last year.
they'll only be using 5 venues
Accor , NRLs tennents there ( Souths / Bulldogs ) will not be playing any games there til April
Commbank , Parramatta , also the A Leagues wanderers off it..
Cbus Stadium , the Titans can't use it til April
Optus stadium , the 2 derpball teams , no games til April
HBF park , Perth Glory & Western Force displaced as well

so the womens fumbling GF rated 354K on FTA , over 500K with STV
tidy numbers considering it was a particularly poor spectacle once again , according to onliners ...

BBL
683K on Sunday night on Ch 7 & over a million apparently with foxtel added
583K for last nights game , so maybe 850-900K with STV
okayish , not great tho
the Test killed it on the weekend with one session passing 1.8 million total FTA & STV & most sessions over 1 million
Yesterday was down considerably ofc with it being a work day.

You have to wonder who actually sits and "watches" the test - I have it going in the background for the main - although the shitty weather over the weekend alowed me to sit on the couch for most of the day doing stuff with the TV on.

I didn’t realise the AFL grand final rated so highly - top rating programme for the year. The most watched sporting game on TV not only goes to AFL- the most watched show of the year also goes to AFL. Wow.
On a sad note - two of the top 10 shows was MAFS.

Let’s think about this, which is not your strong point, the AFL Grand Final was the most watched program in Australia.
A game featuring no Victorian side and no side from the traditional Australian Rules states, but 2 North Eastern State teams, where according to you no one watches and no one cares.
Yes the gap is growing but not the deluded way you keep espousing.
Bring on your emojis, you need all the support you can get.

lets think about this
which isn't your strong point
the fumbling mess's GF in Sydney & Brisbane was ... still ...the lowest rating ever in those cities involving the Swines & Wions
& more Melbournians watched the Storm in Melb in the NRL GF , then Sydneysiders watched the Swines in the derpball GF
the bumbling clown festival in NSW & QLD
Still nothing but a,,, niche ,,, sport

that is what made the GF hit 4mill was because it had QLD AND NSW SIDE> along with both teams having grassroots back to Victoria.
it was the AFL's chance to hit its biggest ever audience.
Also NRL has 4 BIG matches per year

Yes but 3 are rep games and not NRL games. Organised by (well really the ARL) the NRL, played by NRL players but not NRL games.
