Assume you had just 1 meter in Sydney and 1 meter in Melbourne. The next day when you looked at the results on media week it would say ratings for Sydney = 1, Rating for Melbourne = 1 . Both the same. Even though the 1 Sydney meter represents 5m potential league voters and the 1 Melbourne Meter represents 4.6 m potential AFL voters.
Looks like loans and ratings aren't your thing pussy. If there was only 1 box they would still extrapolate to how many in the population was watching. It would be accurate all that much obviously but they still infer to the population ...
Fred , as far as the loan goes you are dead set wrong ! its a loan not a gift and regardless of what spin you put on it ,regardless of intentions , it will need to be paid back.
However I will concede on the Tv meters.

The loan I am pretty sure I'm right. Any person with an ounce of financial clout... shit even mum and dad investors know you don't use your money to invest ... you borrow, claim the interest as a tax right off against income earned and watch the asset hopefully increase in price.

If you borrow money , regardless of the loan purpose or your intention you are accountable for the ? $280m.

Its precisely why the loan - I assume this is the Etihad purchase one - makes for a sound choice. Its almost like we have knowledgeable business people on the Commission or something.
Alan Bond had a sound business mind also.

just like last year, the AFL clubs who are tenants at Etihad will continue to pay their rent. That rent goes, plus other revenue the stadium makes, goes to the AFL who use it to pay the loan. The stadium makes a handy profit plus provides capital growth. It isnt merely a loan to fund the competition

You've been wrong about AFL financials for years. Just fuck off already.
The comment was in reply to a thread about the uncertainties that lye ahead. It was a negative NRL article but I suppose that's alright.
How so?
AFL lied about how much was in the future.
AFL profit has been less than ours in recent.
Our revenue has increased more over the past four years than yours has over the past five.
Or is it the $80m in hand outs the AFL has to give to its clubs each year that you objet to.

Just the other week you were talking about the uncertainties of future tv funding. And who knows what else lies ahead. so how can you be so certain they will continue to make a handy profit?

Lol little pissy cat is suffering little man syndrome
What about the nrlol clubs owners having to throw extra money in as 16 of their clubs are running at losses! Even more funny when the operating costs of a nrlol club is half of the AFL clubs
Your league cannot pay operational costs so it was forced to have an advance in $50 million from next years broadcast figures!
Still that wansnt enough the league still needed more money, so it's head honchos took their wile e coyote figure and board to the bank and asked for a loan! & the bank said G&GF!
What the AFL brought was similar to when a person buys a house! It's value is in the land, Etihad being worth an estimated nearly billion dollars, as well as an extra money maker for the AFL!
The AFL still has money in the bank the nrlol does not!
Your nrlol is a fucken joke pissycat!
Put away your crayons & wile E. coyote cartoons and get your nurse to read you some warren buffet books

because the stadiums profit is built around attendances, not TV. Ours are going north too

The AFL does make a small handy profit unlike your nrlol fudging the books again this year, claims it made a profit but only did so by getting an advance from next years broadcast deal!
Your little league has blown its so called "war chest"

that it was going to take the AFL on with, it got knocked back for their loan to pay the bills
Mean while the AFL will only have increas revenue and business & a billion dollar asset!
Your nrlol of a financial joke!

But but but....
Lol trying to Change the goal posts! Decades of fudging
When was the lastest nrlol report released?
Their figures that they went to the bank when going for a loan would have been fudged as well!
They have sponsorship few worth millions and hundreds of millions in revenue, but a credit line of Alan bond or Christopher skase
