Thats the point Ive raised for ages, they watch SOO because its an event. They certainly dont seem to think much of the NRL though
You state they watch SOO because its an event..

But beat number of viewers with sydney watching the swans...
Are the swans a no event..

Dude.. that just makes the swans figures look even more pathetic..

The derby with 2 sydney teams
Put as the biggest game in sydney..
Just rated 55k on FTA

I will take the 500k figure for SOO lol
how the hell is a swans game an event? They play 24 per year. They represent their own fans, not an entire state. SOO is completely different

As for swans yesterday they rated Sun TV #AFL 7mate 89k (Syd 61k Bri 28k)

Meanwhile the NRL in Melbourne rated a massive Gem 16k (Mel 4k Ade 3k Per 8k)

So, where do these SOO fans go when the NRL is on?

I am saying the Game it self was build up as Huge
but failed to make its mark..

If SOO can get 500k when no team is Victorian..

and the Swans v GWS derby which is played twice a year has only got 61k
for two Sydney teams.. that is pretty bad..

The Gem figures are pretty bad.. but no home team was involved..

it managed a bigger crowd than all NRL games in Sydney over the weekend. I also would have rated near 100k after fox was added, and up against another game

The NRLs ratings into Melbourne have been horrendous this year. The AFL rates far better in Brisbane when no QLD team is playing, despite having half the population
