Why the hell would they have a press conference if there was no problem??????????
They already know the answer they are just trying to find someone to blame. Anyone but themselves. Anyone smell a cover-up? Time will tell! Xman take a deep breathe and calm down.
They were talking about this issue on the radio this afternoon. This is what was said by sports SEN: Rumour has it an ex employee has spread rumours that Essendon players were given a sports supplement by the previous sports science team which may have contained a substance that is banned by ASADA, ie performance enhancing. This is news to the Essendon hierarchy and coaching staff, so rather than let rumours fester and their motives be questioned they've asked ASADA and the AFL to conduct a full investigation. Either they are punished for deliberately or accidentally using a supplement which includes a banned performance enhancing drug or they are cleared. Either way the club has come out on the front foot. While I don't entirely trust their previous fitness staff, including the "weapon", I absolutely trust James Hird, the CEO and the president who are extremely honourable people. What happens happens.

However, your ignorance regarding illicit or performance enhancing drugs, and the policies governing each, is staggering.
My ignorance? I think you have mistaken me for someone that cares what you say! You say ignorance, I say informed! Whether that pretty little storey adds up or not I think Hird should have some responsibility for his players in regards to how they train, play and eat to get the best out of them same goes with nrl coaches. I know its your team which makes this even more pleasurable but like I said before. The staff that are no longer there are being shafted and used as scapegoats.
it seems they need to have another drug summit!

You claimed this was further demonstration of the AFLs poor drugs policy. You also claimed they had a recent drug summit and it was related. The AFL, like almost every other Australian sport, follows WADA and ASADA regarding PEDs.
You therefore don't even understand the difference between elicit drugs and performance enhancing drugs.
You may not care what I say, but you definitely should care about what you say because it shows what a dunce you are!

Well if they have cheated and the AFL hasn't discovered it then there is an obvious problem? Do you agree??
You claimed that the drug summit was just about illicit drugs..... You were wrong!!
I'm not arguing the fact that WADA and ASADA test majority of sports in Aus. I have personally been tested in my sport. And each player is told of what substances are illegal. It's a simple process where they have a list of banned substances! What the hell is it with you and separating the different types of drugs? Illicit drugs are opiates, thc, cocain, pcp and amp are the major 5 tested and performance enhancing drugs are choosen by the agencies stated before say are banned. I didn't think I had to explain the process for you but after your uneducated response I had no option.

 how is it an AFL problem if ASADA look after the entire testing regime for PEDs?

The entire discussion about the summit was the three strike policy, nothing mentioned about PEDs

The drugs are separated because there are two separate policies!

No, you don't have to explain the process, but maybe if you understood it you may get a clue!

How is it AFL's problem?? I don't see ASADA being splash across every paper is aus. It's their problem because it happened in there sport. The policy that the AFL and each club have, has been shown to be ineffective. Both illicit and PED's. the AFL dictates thru there policy. Whether its a policy based on ASADA principle doesn't matter. It's still AFL and essendons problem.

I'll say again! The drug summit was about DRUGS. There was a major issue brought up with regards to the illicit drugs but other information was also spoken about so you can not argue that PED's weren't spoken about. If you have the meeting minutes that state otherwise. We can just agree to disagree!

Of course there are 2 policies, they are different types of drugs! I would like to see where I said there' was 1 policy.

And in future before you try to belittle someone you could first try and write fact and not report on information that I never said. What I write and how you digest it seems different to me.
We'll see if you learn to write fact and not put words in people's mouth.

Xman a former player has admitted to taking supplements (peptides) that are on the boundaries of acceptance. And that they were all aware. Doesn't seem too innocent to me!

I didnt mean its not a problem. You claimed the fact that cheating had occured (alledgedly) but the AFL hadnt found it. This is ASADA's testing not the AFL's. I'll say it again for you because you're obvioulsy too slow: the AFL's PED's policy is entirely managed by ASADA. They also control PED policies for other sports like the NRL. It has nothing to do with the AFL's policy since they follow ASADA and WADA. GOT IT? #-o #-o

I'll say again! The drug summit was about DRUGS. There was a major issue brought up with regards to the illicit drugs but other information was also spoken about so you can not argue that PED's weren't spoken about. PED's wasnt even reported as being discussed by the summit. Why? Because ASADA manage it. They do the testing. They set the banned list. They set the penalties.

Of course there are 2 policies, they are different types of drugs! I would like to see where I said there' was 1 policy.
You've confused the 2 policies from the start! #-o

You're right, I didnt need to belittle you. You did a perfect job of self ownage yourself.

2 of Richmond's membership categories have sold out. Not bad for a club who have only made the finals twice in the last 30 years.
3121, Premiership Circle sold out

The Richmond Football Club, today, reached capacity in two of its premium membership categories.

The Clubs 3121 and Premiership Circle (Level 2 reserved seating) membership packages are now officially closed with all spots allocated for season 2013.

Their current membership tally is 38,337. Pretty much twice as much as the highest nRL club.

Wow, just wow. =D>

Might not have a decent comp? 8-[

2012 was one of the best season in a long time, much better than 2011. To top it off the GF was a classic whilst the nRL's was a snore fest much like every other game from that amateur suburban league. And to think that GWS and Gold Coast are only going to improve as well.
