According to AD the Suns made a first year profit. No reason for this to not be true.

Well folks, with the intellectually challenged AFL fans looking more

than ever, it looks like its timely to provide an update on the 2013 basketcase league. Get a load of these stats I looked up :D
Round 8 has come and gone and our 5 basketcase leaguers Brissie, GWS, GC, Melbs and Western Bulldogs have played a total of 23 games against non basketcase league teams....and won not 1 but 2 games against teams other than basketcase leaguers! That's 2 for 23 folks!

This deserves a round of applause as last season it took the basketcasers 12 rounds to reach this milestone. =D> But lets not get too happy, its highly likely our basketcase leaguers wont win another match against an AFL team for the next 5 or even 10 rounds or even for the rest of the 2013 season. But you know my saying "the sun shines out of a basketcase leaguers asshole some days and our AFL teams have a shocker some days too. When these two anomalies combine we get the oh so rare Basketcase leaguer win over an AFL team.
And get this, the average losing margin between basketcase league teams against AFL teams over 8 rounds issssssssss 'insert drum roll' a whopping
59 points/10 goals. Absolutely pathetic aint it? And very very compelling evidence that the basketcase league is alive and well in 2013, as KE has predicted :D
In other news its fantastic to watch port adelaide making a strong charge to get back in the basketcase league. They really are a shithouse team and in my opinion look fantastic and belong in the basketcase league. I'll keep you all updated on ports form in 'the rise and fall of port adelaide thread' and report back here if they make it back in, cross fingers.
Hows it feeling AFL supporters? Can any of you point out a basketcase league in the nrl? 4 or 5 teams with comparable shocking stats as above? Pointing at a thrashing here and there simply dont cut it in the 'options for a lopsided comp' thread im afraid folks. You gotta be able to point to a set of teams who are consistently uncompetitive...you just gotta

Nice to see you trying to use stats but you have cherry picked again by not adding in Port, Have you reneged on your 5-10 year commitment, you made to Port? Including port the percentage wins would be closer to 15-20% which isn't bad due to the inclusion of the poorly performing Melbourne and GWS and that these teams are generally taking on top 8 sides. Apart from GSW and Melbourne, the rest of them have been alright, even the dogs, who have been competative but very unlucky.

I stated yonks ago port were not currently in the basketcase league pies. I acknowledged I may have been wrong and that thus far in 2013 they were quite an anomaly so cast them into the AFL comp. However they're looking to be on the brink of being one of the quickest slides out of the 8 in living memory. So lets wait and see eh?

"The dogs have been competitive and unlucky.
Ahhh here's the stats pies. WB have played against 6 AFL teams thus far in 2013 for a total of 0 wins. Avg losing margin? A whopping
49 points/8 goals!!!
Yeah they're real competitive.
So keep with the program pies and, please, can you point out a basketcase league in the NRL?
Make no mistake folks the basketcase league in the AFL is very real. Very real indeed

Are any AFL supporters willing to provide any options for this lopsided comp now? Am I the only one who actually cares about the quality of this competition?

Warriors v Penriff was a close game. Gripping stuff. The AFL has introduced 2 new teams and compromised 3 drafts. What's the nRL's excuse?

Mate you don't watch many games do you? Dogs have played 8 games not 6 mate. Been beaten by an average of just over 5 goals. You can have 5 goals kicked on you in 5 minutes.
Dogs have been competative against some of the best sides and have played 4 of last years top 7 sides to date. They were good against Geelong, Fremantle, GC and North Melbourne, they were right in there in all four, despite the last quarter blow out against North. Yeah they have lacked finishing skills and had a few bad injuries to boot in the middle of some games which has caused a few blow outs. But they have been winning more ball then just about any other side. They have a solid future and in 2-3 years they will be back in the 8.
Keep up the troll effort KE. GCS are now 4 and 4, Brisbane Lions are comming good with 3 wins and Port (im not going to let you go that easily) are in the 8, with 5 wins. At best you have gotten it right on GWS in their second season, Melbourne who showed some fight against some top sides and the Dogs who have been hit by injuries and a tough early draw. That's a 50/50 strike rate, I've seen coin tosses with better prediction skills, Nostradamus you ain't.

Yes folks this seems to be all the AFL supporters have in their false belief that the nrl is a lopsided comp.
individual random teams being thrashed on the
odd occasion. for the AFL on the other hand, I've provided a
set of 5 teams which are
consistently being belted by teams other than themselves,
week in week out. It's quite striking really.

Oh now comon pies. Get with the program. The dogs have played against six AFL teams and been soundly thrashed or beaten each and every time. They've played against two basketcases which you should know I don't count as AFL teams as they simply aren't in the same league. All the rest you've said comes up in a complete diff light when you account for the fact that basket case teams are in the same league.
5 basketcase teams played a total of 23 games against AFL teams for a total 2 wins.

and the avg losing margin 59 points! Lap it up pies, the comp is lopsided to billio! Ill say it again. Am I the only marngrook fan on this site who cares about the quality of the AFL comp?
Ps just watch ports drAmAtic fall from the top of the ladder...this week they're up against Geelong

You're right phelpsy. I was smiling when i read yours and other AFL supporters posts on this topic. It's amusing seeing doofi (plural of doofus) struggle with reality time and time again.
But I'm not trolling my friend. I'm simply stating the facts and it amuses me how the AFL supporting turkeys find it so hard to see that the state of thier comp is quite lopsided. In fact last year was the most lopsided in the history of the comp. Sorry to break it to ya phelpsy, its just the facts.
Basketcase league FACTS: 23 games - 2 wins - avg losing margin 59 points!
You know you cant deny it so, as you say phelpsy, you should all agree with me
