I would say that the NRL broadcaster will be similar in overall rating numbers to the AFL game. NRL total would be about 1.22 million. The AFL total would be about 981K + fox. SO a number of about 230-250K for foxtel would have the AFL about even.

But cos, come on! You know sydney transport and roads aren't suitable for attending games, the weather is too cold, and too nice, their stadiums are horrible, etc etc.
Oh wait, the AFL was in Sydney too!

The average for rl at the Sydney Showgrounds is 11k.
The average for rl at Manuka is 7k.

Last night:
The countries 2 biggest codes, with 2 big blockbuster matchups, involving 2 of their big teams in the 2 biggest cities.
and the result? 2 big crowds: NRL 19k, AFL 75k
This is repeated week after week, except for 3 games of SOO.
